This is an impressionistic “Musical Mind Walk” to the midnight cinema to see Eraserhead with Wanda, the composer’s dream date, circa 1979. This is the “idee fixe” music for the Whittier recordings. This was done with seven layers of synthesizer music, using pre-designed and pre-recorded loops from the Garage Band App. A cello is also utilized. 
Musically, I would describe this as an impressionistic walk under the shady trees of Cadbury Road in Whittier. I recall such a walk as being highly relaxing and invigorating at the same time. Earbuds recommended.

As with the other pieces in the Whittier collection, this too is an impressionistic, dream-like visit to Hoover Avenue in Whittier during the summer of 1971. As we stroll up the shady street from Broadway, we can’t help but notice the startling beauty of the many oleander trees that front the quaint old houses. As we near the beige house in the middle of the street, we can hear a rock band jamming in the backyard. Now we are walking down the driveway to see who’s there, and to watch the band play. There are four long-haired boys playing electric guitars, bass and drums inside the old, dilapidated garage. A dozen long-hairs and their chicks stand on the backyard lawn smoking cigarettes. They talk amongst themselves, saying the band is terrible, and play too loud. The bass player sees a chick in the crowd and decides he wants to trip with her, so he ends the jam… in a dream.

Moon Dancing Redux

Here is some music from a couple of music projects.  The first is a suite of music cues used for a tour video.  I edited a bunch of short cues to make a full piece.  The second was actually something I wrote in college, but redid for the same video piece.  The third piece I wrote for the fun of it, but I have used it as background music on several other projects.  

Voices And Space

Stark Hunter is the  trademark name for my published music, literary writings and photography. I am 73 years old. This is American Anti-Music. It is not affiliated with the American “Mainstream” Music industry, or any foreign country. My music is always free. I am an 'outsider' artist, and have been a writer, photographer and jam musician since the 60’s. This anti-music is as raw as it gets. Totally organic and authentic. If this music were a woman, she would be naked with no make-up on. I tend to see these musical creations as weird impressionist paintings, but set to sound. Anti-music tends to be quiet music unlike the mainstream music environment. It is invariably recorded at low volumes, mainly because I hate loud music. Therefore, it is highly recommended to use earbuds or headphones when listening to this real anti-music. My recording studio is inside my dark garage. Ghosts of dead girlfriends visit me constantly as I create these musical paintings. I am not mad. Thank you. I hope you enjoy these unorthodox sound excursions. SH
