In episode 1 Specs on Spec Ed focuses its specs on Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder. Kathryn Shea, the President & CEO at The Florida Center for Child and Family Development, allowed Specs on Spec Ed to share her personal story on the struggles and successes of living with a child with FASD. What exactly are the causes and effects of FASD? How can teachers create inclusive environments for students with FASD? Are there enough FASD supports available in all of Canada? And finally, I was lucky enough to get the chance to catch up with Kathryn Shea to see how Seth is doing now.
