Crow's Foot are a 5 piece rock band from the Whitchurch area in Hampshire UK

Crow's Foot are a band that is sadly best known for always being one step behind the musical zeitgeist. They were perhaps the only band on the planet who thought it was a smart career move to start their Prog phase just as everyone else was turning onto punk.

However, since their formation in 1974 they have swum up stream against the trend, been unique in their own special way, featured dozens of musicians and stand now as a pin prick of light against a back drop of musical mediocrity.

Currently featuring none of the original line up they are not to be confused with Brian Rimcheese's Crow's Foot, an amalgam of other past members of the band who, due to a long standing legal battle are only allowed to use the name in Bulgaria, some parts of South America and the Solomon Islands.

Reformed last summer, largely based on the classic Mark 17 line-up, Crow's Foot will be back gigging soon, bringing their unique brand of rock 'n, roll to a venue near you.

Graduating from the same class of 2012, Light System is a premier electronic music act from Minneapolis, Minnesota.  The group was formed after the pop punk band "As It Falls", which contained Lent and Rabiola, took an indefinite break.  Lent and Rabiola remained friends and eventually took to producing electronic music through their own routes of Dubstep and House music.  Garret had been wanting to further his music and so he decided to compile the best in electronic music from around the area.  Calling on old friends; Tony Rabiola, and Mitch Butterbaugh to join him in a new project.  The trio passed ideas back and forth until their debut download, "Reversion" was released.  
Their introduction to the scene included fellow classmate Lucia Peterson, whom had shown tremendous skills in the past.  The group would go on to feature Lucia in their second coming, titled: Homecoming.  The latter track was released in the summer of 2013 as a follow up to Reversion.  
Controversy ensued with the re-release of Lucia's vocals on the second track.  The general public was confused as to if Lucia was a permanent part of the group or not.  The trio has remained silent on this issue only stating that "we're only doing this for a hobby".  
With the first live appearance, rare copies of "Memoirs of the Sun" were handed out to commemorate the milestone mark in the groups career.  Only twenty-five copies were given out at the near sold out show.  The CD included 10 original tracks from the three artists and one remix of Dada Life's "Happy Violence".  Some of the tracks included were Tunisia - Metica, Follow Suit - Butterbawlz, and Chicago Rain - Metica (a previously unreleased track).  All of the Light System tracks were included on the LP including two remixes of Homecoming featuring vocals by Sydney Eidem.  The remixes were arranged by Metica and Garret Lent.

In an industry where “catchy” gets thrown in the same category as “no substance” and “conscious” can be confused with “boring” its rare to find an artist that bridges that gap.  Introducing: Doran Wallace, or, better known by his rap name Dolo. Dolo’s music is the combination of clever lyrics, energetic delivery, catchy hooks, charismatic voice, and story telling skills.  Listening to Dolo, one might hear everything from street anthems, to fun party tracks, to deep uplifting songs.
  
Born and raised in the streets of South Side Chicago, Illinois, Dolo grew up in poverty, raised in a single parent home by his mother.  Having to become the man of the house and help support and protect his family, he joined a gang at a young age and began hustling in the streets.  After life threatening shootouts and numerous run-ins with the law Dolo came to a point in his life where it was either end up dead or in jail, or do something positive.  Dolo chose to do what he was best at: music.  

With such a life story, Dolo brings the essence of hip hop culture as he portrays his life and struggles in his raps.  No matter your what your upbringing is , Dolo finds a way to connect with his audience as he raps about the everyday topics, such as love, heartbreak, betrayal, and spirituality to more specific street tales from his past.

Look out for Dolo, as he is sure to be a household name among hip hop fans in the very near future. 


"An affect or passion of the mind is a confused idea."

Post Romantic Empire was a research project on the inheritance of the Romantic revolution in the contemporary world that was originally supposed to result in an essay within two years time but which, finally, ended up becoming something entirely different. PRE is the testimony of how an idea, or rather, the derivations of Romanticism’s rhizome can mark the destiny of one or more people.

Factually, PRE has been a project management focused on event organization and artists booking, a recording label, and a photographic safari in the underground.
Moreover, in has been a daring journey in the territory of the ineffable.

To create one’s own world, limitless and possible, and to forget the reason for having created it: this, in short, is the history of the Post Romantic Empire project.


The Post Romantic Empire album was born from the desire to produce a representation of the concept behind the PRE experience – a personal exploration of the heritage of Romanticism – using music as the only language. 

The idea of revisiting (retracing) famous landscapes of our culture, which are open paths in many minds, is the most complex work I have ever done for the Empire. On the surface the idea was rather simple: to choose four significant tracks and then associate/assign them to different composers and producers. The composers would suggest what musicians to invite and the producers would then mix the blind collaborations together.
The songs were to have been: Rimsky Korsakov’s “Sheherazade”, the traditional folk song “The House of the Rising Sun”, Joy Division’s “Love Will Tear Us Apart” and “Something for Your Mind” by Speedy J. 

In 2011, thanks to Klarita Pandolfi, I entered into contact with Roger O’Donnell and asked him to re-imagine “Sheherazade”. The moment he accepted, this album was officially born. From that point to today almost two years have passed.

“Sheherazade” represents, if we also keep in mind Rimsky Korsakov’s work as a whole, the origins of European Romanticism.  This is a duet both from the point of view of the narration (the king and the princess) as well as that of its execution. As Roger O’Donnell was composing and playing in London, Julia Kent was recording in New York. It is a composition in three movements that, although developed along a narrative structure, is pure emotion.

The southern U.S. folk standard “The House of the Rising Sun” was proposed to Baby Dee, Andrew WK and Matt Sweeney during the dilated time of a pre-concert sound-check of Current 93’s. “There’s nothing easier and at the same time more stimulating for an American musician,” was the answer. Baby Dee confronted this re-writing in the best of ways – a jam session in New York where, in addition to Matt Sweeney and Andrew WK, she invited Little Annie Bandez to be on vocals, Sxip Shirley, Sarah Alden, Robbie Lee, Sarah Nowicki and Matthew Robinson. Improvisational magic: from the echoes of the house of the rising sun comes “Little Black Train”, a song within the song reinforcing the impression that in reality it is all part of the listener’s dream. A moment in time destined to forever repeat itself in different permutations.

From the earliest days of PRE we have collaborated with violinist Matt Howden. It was therefore only natural for us to ask him, a citizen of Yorkshire, to elaborate “Love Will Tear Us Apart”, which for us is a neo-archetype of contemporary Romanticism. In 2006 I had met New Order for a photographic session and from that meeting had kept Peter Hook’s email address. I wrote him to ask permission to continue with the project and invited him along with guitarist Nat Wason to be part of a virtual jam-session to take place around Matt’s re-composition. The presence of one the original authors of the 20th century’s most moving song added an unexpected dimension to the entire history of the PRE: that of the real, of the connection to a history not simply perceived a posteriori. We then invited David Tibet to sing, Annabella Lwin to be on backing vocals, Dave Barbarossa and Vin Cassidy to play drums, Massimo Pupillo to play bass and Eliot Bates to play oud. Andrew Liles, who we consider the most formidable sculptor of sound alive, accepted the most difficult job of the entire album: mixing the hours and hours of recordings.

I myself had the opportunity to participate in one of the mixing sessions of “Love Will Tear Us Apart” when I personally brought Andrew another recording, an unexpected gift, which once again would turn our plans upside down. 

Vin Cassidy had given Carlo Cassaro, my primary collaborator, a recording of Larry Cassidy, whose band Section 25 we had recently promoted in Italy, reciting a selection of Joy Division lyrics. Larry had passed away only a short time before and his reading of “Love Will Tear Us Apart” moved us all profoundly. It is above all for this reason that we decided to suspend the production of the fourth track we had originally envisioned to close the track-list – “Something for Your Mind” (which had been given to Othon Mataragas who did an exceptional job and which we hope to be able to put out in the near future) – in order to substitute a second version, elegiac and open, of “Love Will Tear Us Apart” celebrating Larry’s posthumous work. 

Together with this album there is a second, smaller one. Carlo had proposed applying the same method used on the PRE album to a disc dedicated to our departed friend Paul Tired. The songs this time were chosen from among those that had been his favorites. It is no accident that here too we found ourselves face to face with highly meaningful songs: New Order’s “Dreams Never End” and CCCP’s “Annarella”. The recomposition of both was entrusted to Maja Elliott because she is the pianist who moves us more than any other and because butterflies live in her heart. “Dreams Never End” was enriched by the cello of John Contreras and by the generous and profound interpretation of Gitane Demone. “Annarella” was sung by Pueri Cantores Regina Nivis, the children’s choir of Carpi. Both songs were mixed according to the binaural sensibilities of producer Matteo Spinazzè.

Following a bad break up, the Son of Sin found himself confused and split between his parents. The only things that made sense were his poems and his lyrics. As he grew so did his confusion, attention to detail, and consequently his anger. He developed a style that was ferocious and probing at the same time.
The Son of Sin found his start on street corners and lunch tables. He battled and took over cyphers daily with his comedic yet, vicious array of punch lines and metaphors. Known for moving and entertaining a crowd he improved at a steady rate. He has independently produced and distributed three different cds of his own, each of which was accompanied by a bonus freestyle cd of his own material. Till this day he is still improving at all times.
The name Son of Sin holds connotations of a child whose father has already paved a dark path for him to follow. Son of Sin spends his life, therefore, trying to be positive although it is hard for him to ignore the pull of negativity. He sometimes questions the ways of society all the while praising those who do what they do as a means for survival. All in all, Son of Sin is more different than he is similar because he is a well rounded artist. He has the ability to make you move, cry, laugh and think. His honesty, is one of the many reasons his listeners remain faithful. Especially since he has the ability to make damn near any beat come to life.
He's been writing rhymes since 98, been recording in studios since 04.  Before he was recording in studios he was using a laptop, a microphone headset, and some beats to record.  As a young artist, he performed on the college circuit and fell in love with the stage.  He's also performed at numerous clubs in NYC (namely, Bowery Poetry Club, Recoup Lounge, Time Square Music Center, Nuyorican cafe, and T-NY).  He's also performed outside of NYC on several occassions.  After taking a break from 2007 to 2010 it seems he hasn't missed a beat.  If anything, he has come back stronger and hungrier.  His latest endeavors include solo projects such as "Inner Conflict" Hosted by DJ White Owl and the ever popular "Sunny Nights" also hosted by DJ White Owl.  After a brief stint with W.A.S.H. and artist, Landie Love, he is back to promoting the Timeless Music Movement.  If there's one thing about Son of Sin aka S. Dot we can pinpoint, it's that he's consistantly creative.

Deetec was born in Edinburgh in 1975, his love for music comes from his parents and extended family, he came from a family of established disco DJs (back in the day) and rap artists. His love for dance music, techno in particular was born during the 80s when he listened to his mums high energy tunes and bands like Depeche mode, Eurythmics and New Order.

During the early 90s he would swap mix tapes with his friends that they recorded from pirate radio stations. However, Edinburgh and Scotland at that time only had a limited number of stations, so it was a great treat when he would get mixes from London. The main names coming out from London at that time were Dave Angel, Groove rider and Carl Cox.

At the age of 15 and 16 he attended his first rave at the Hacienda in Glasgow (not to be confused with the Hacienda in Madchester), it was an established club that ran for years with the main DJ spots being taken up by DJ Mark Smith. Each week he would run the risk of not getting in for being under age and a series of fake ID's had to be produced or re-produced when the last one was confiscated.

It was at this time when one of his friends (Troy Curren) got his first set of Technics 1200s and from then on most of his time was spent at his house playing his favourite tunes and practicing the skills required to become a good DJ. Week in and week out he would watch Mark Smith do his thing on the decks and try to copy what he saw during the week. About a year later he saved every bit of money he had to buy his own set of Techincs 1210s, which he still has to this day.

A big part of his music has to be credited to his friend and pure legend Dave Angel, at an early age Deetec and his friends would travel the length of the country just to go and support Dave and in time got to know him, Deetec still remains good friends with Dave Angel and visits his studio (Rotation Records) a few times a year and hopes to complete a remix of one of Dave's tunes in the near future. At this time Deetec continues to work hard in the studio and pushing the boundaries of his music, so watch this space and be part of the future.

Multi instrumentalist, guitar,bass,keyboards,mandolin,percussion,cello. I am also a producer,engineer. I like to experiment with sound as much as possible. I like to play anything from jazz to dark ambient music. I consider myself musically confused. I have played in close to a dozen or bands since I was 13 and have toured as a sound engineer and as a musician. I currently write music at home most of which is Ambient, I also have a ton of really crazy tripped out blues mixed with jazz guitar stuff that I am getting ready to put up here in the next few months. I will also be including some of my shoe gaze stoner rock material in the near future.
