'Liberating and haunting all at once' (EARMILK), L Twills presents a multi-faceted Gesamtkunstwerk, a concept-album that blends critical storytelling, video-art, costume-making, dance, performance and pop-underground. The project comprises a limited edition double vinyl with 22 songs, a 12 page photo booklet and 11 video chapters. 

The album was created in diffferent recording phases in Berlin, Vienna, Hamburg and Trieste between 2021 and 2023. It features exciting collaborations with interntional artists such as filmmaker Helena Wittmann, artist Elliot Reed and dancer Ophelia Young, to name a few.

[After Her Destruction] tells the story of Girl, who, using a computer program named The Art of Mind, moves through the matrix of her own perception, to find out whether it has mutated, thereby  confronting questions of identity, class and queerness. L Twills convinces with her original songwriting approach through converging electro-acoustic composition, avant-pop arrangements, metuculous sound-design and her distinctive voice. Aiming to create experiences of the unexpected, the artist fosters what she calls „imaginative listening“.

„For me imaginative listening or in other words imaginative reflection, which includes the confrontation of painful and traumatic memories, is at the core of change and emancipation. In this sense the electro-acoustic worlds in [After her Destruction] draw it's listeners into emotional spaces of reflection.“

L Twills' explorations of voice and sound result in an intimate yet urgent unearthing of feelings, energies and memories. Citing Ryuichi Sakamoto, Portishead, Meredith Monk, AHNONI, Roberta Flack and Diamanda Galas as her main influences for [After Her Destruction], L Twills has created an idiosyncratic and unique sonic world whose spell leaves a lasting imprint. 

The videos for [After her Destruction] were shot in collaboration with acclaimed filmmaker Helena Wittmann (Locarno Filmfest) and stares international performers, actresses, artists and activists like Elliot Reed (Moma PS1), Ophelia Young (Pina Bausch Ensemble, Ballett Basel), Linda Elsner (Schauspielhaus Dortmund), Don Jegosah, Sibylle Peters (FUNDUS Theater, Tate Modern), Haiqing Wang, Anto López Espinosa, Luïza Luz, Suma Abdelsamie (Founder of LGBTQI+ Refugees Greece), Rebecca de Toro, Lex Callimero and Frieda Toranzo Jäger (Moma PS1, Reena Spaulings).
