Music at its basic level is energy and a way of tapping into and releasing emotions, Happy, Sad, Fear and Anger
Emotions are nether good or bad but can be useful to experience the moment and live in the here and now
And not in the past (getting depressed) or the future (getting anxious)

Don't Worry, Be Happy
You do have a choice where you want to live
I would suggest that experiencing emotions in the moment, and using them to inform our thinking in the present is the best way to live for a human

DJ KATE MONROE THE FIRST LADY OF HOUSE

She’s been dubbed the First Lady of House. She is one of one of Australia’s preeminent house DJs, ruling dance floors here and overseas for more than a decade. She is known for her unique style and knack for drawing a crowd no matter where she is playing. Not because she’s a female DJ or another blonde chick DJ – but because she’s a shit hot DJ. She is Kate Monroe, and she rocks the house with her sassy, sultry, spanking, driving house beats.

Recently being signed as an endorsed artist for Native Instruments digital controller the Traktor S4 Kate’s amazing musical knowledge and smooth mixing skills are about to take a huge leap. 
Trakor S4 will be the keystone in unleashing and defining the diversity of her sound, be that under the Opera House for New Years Eve. In Australia’s best bars and festivals or late at night at a steamed-up club playing to cutting-edge dance music lovers – loving all of it and retaining her signature style.

Kate has played with every major club in Australia: Home, Ivy, Tank, Soho, Cargo, Family, Platinum...you name it, gathering a devoted fan base on the way. Her residency atthe iconic Sublime (Home Nightclub) helped earn the club ‘Best Club in Australia’ at the National Dance Music Awards for four years running. 

This Mardi-Gras Season in Sydney 2011 Kate was booked for an unprecedented number of gigs in the festival. Harbour Party with 100% Daywash at Lady Macquaries Chair, Tongue Twister at Arthouse, The Mardi Gras Party warming up for Frankie Knuckles, and Toybox at Luna Park.
Kate Monroe’s name has been synonymous with big parties Mardi Gras, Sleaze Ball, Ministry Of sound, Harbour Party, and Field Day - not to mention offshore gigs in Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand and Kuala Lumpur and the USA Her most recent overseas stint was a tour of the USA including a set at the legendary Winter Party in Miami.

Kate is as much a natural in front of a microphone as she is behind the decks, with stints as a guest presenter on Triple J, Channel V, The Joint and Alchemy on SBS. In 2010 she was the parade DJ for Foxtel’s Mardi Gras broadcast along with Kitty Glitter. Kate’s sound has been featured on multiple compilations for SONY, Shock and a suite of independent labels. 

Kate’s personality and professionalism ensure that she is entrusted with some of the biggest celebrations in Australian history, including the Sydney Olympics Closing Ceremony in front of 60,000 people. She’s been handed the reins of the Lord Mayor’s New Year’s Eve Party for four years running. Kate was behind the decks at Astral Bar for the launch of Seal’s Soul album. She’s filled floors at some of the country’s coolest corporate gigs, including the Cartier “Love” Campaign, , the opening of the first MAC store in Sydney, product launches for Estee Lauder and L’Oreal, Harley Davidson, and Christmas parties for Saatchi and Saatchi. Always behind a good cause, Kate has performed pro bono at gigs like the Camp Quality Supper Club in conjunction with Chandon in Melbourne and Sydney

She has also been a contributor to the ARIA Dance Chart for nearly 10 years. Helping inform the ears of the Australian Public to the newest sounds from around the globe.

Born in Uruguaiana, on the western border of Rio Grande do Sul, Alec Araujo has dedicated more than three decades to electronic music. Since the beginning of his career in 1990, his Latin and Spanish roots have shaped an authentic style, marked by intense and captivating sets capable of keeping dance floors vibrating for hours on end.

Realizing that his talent went beyond the DJ booth, Alec also revealed a keen sense for the music business. With an entrepreneurial vision, he moved to Porto Alegre and quickly gained recognition in the main clubs, festivals, and raves of southern Brazil. He became the resident DJ of the legendary Dado Bier, one of the most iconic nightclubs in Brazil, known for attracting artists, celebrities, athletes, and businesspeople—a demanding audience that established Alec as one of the most respected names in the Rio Grande do Sul electronic music scene.

His charisma and consistency have taken him beyond borders. Alec began performing in clubs and events in Brazil, Argentina, and Uruguay, sharing lineups with major figures in national and international electronic music, such as Hernan Cattaneo, Guy J, Nick Warren, Anderson Noise, Mau Mau, Renato Ratier, Gui Boratto, among others.

In 2005, his creative instinct led him to immerse himself in music production. Self-taught, he began developing his own tracks, remixes, and exclusive versions of 80s classics, imprinting his unique and refined identity. His productions quickly crossed borders, being played by internationally renowned DJs and circulating in the most respected Progressive House clubs globally.

With keen feeling, impeccable technique, and unparalleled good taste, Alec has built a sonic signature that balances emotion, rhythm, and sophistication. Throughout his 30-year career, he has established himself as one of the most expressive names in the South American scene, with his tracks featured in sets by major artists, including Hernan Cattaneo, who has been presenting Alec's new remixes in performances throughout the European summer and at major events such as Sunsetstrip, held in São Paulo in 2025.

Today, Alec Araujo is synonymous with experience, elegance, and authenticity. An artist who translates the power of the connection between music and soul into each beat—and who continues to write his story on dance floors around the world.

Byron Coley: "Lovely, mysteriously canted LP by the new Austin-based quartet put together by Aaron Russell (ex-Cherry Blossoms, Weird Weeds, etc.). The music on Bay of Seething is instrumental, and rolls with a very cinematic feel, as though it were the soundtrack for some sort of rather sad, but highly psychedelic, movie. Sonically, if you need easy handles, the sounds are probably closer to Weird Weeds' than to Cherry Blossoms', perhaps because bassist Lindsey Verrill is a Weeds alum as well. But perhaps not. The blend of Aaron's guitar - sometimes raw and heavy, sometimes more in the electro-folk mode - with Sheila Scoville's synth, Verrill's bass, and Carolyn Cunningham's drums creates a dynamic and surging whole that's hypnotic and rapturous. Curiously, Moonsicles grab neither of the easy tropes that have lately been the stock-in-trade of instrumental units - orientalia and spaghetti westernism. Their approach is straighter in a way, more based on proggy rock-qua-rock without nodding to either the far east or the faux west. The more the record plays, the deeper you'll sink. So grab yr duvet and prepare thyself for a solid ride" 

Christopher Stigliano: "I wasn't expecting this 'un to be as much of a SURPRISE as it was, but man was BAY OF SEETHING by the Austin TX-based Moonsicles perhaps thee album of the week to catch me totally off guard! For being an outta-nowhere sorta act Moonsicles really know how to pour on the heavy-duty sound stylings comin' off one part cheezy film soundtrack and about ten post-krautrock electronics with the results being pretty nerve-bending in a Can meets O-Type way."

Nathan Ford: "Ray Bradbury couldn't paint a better picture with words. And that in a nutshell is what this quartet excels at - building a three dimensional world and stimulating all of the senses - an admirable talent when you consider that they only have direct access to one of the listener's senses. This is transportive music, requiring little from the listener except a willingness to yield control. Once Moonsicles are behind the wheel you'll be taken to the most amazing places."

Biography: Moonsicles is a band from Austin, Texas, who play instrumental music in an elusive style. Sometimes, it is swamp new age, other times celestial metal. Often, it's a score to an incoherent film whose characters are lost, deprived, and delirious with hallucinations of miracles and monsters. Their songs are spare, lonely, pensive, inventive, gorgeous soundlands for the human ear to roam. 

Moonsicles formed from some of Austin’s most provocative bands. Guitarist Aaron Russell (The Weird Weeds) distills melodies until they are a frame of some smoldering behemoth; bassist Lindsey Verrill (The Weird Weeds, Some Say Leland) thwacks out megalodon throbs of bottom end and smites with shimmering frequencies; percussionist Carolyn Cunningham (Pillow Queens, Woven Bones) deconstructs rhythms with a hummingbird's nimbleness; and keyboardist Sheila Scoville (Ichi Ni San Shi, Suspirians, No Mas Bodas) makes  plaintive, extraterrestrial noises. Together they play meditative instrumentals for the mind's every mood and color.
