Well, the song is about how railways - British Railways especially - are being destroyed by people who never use them and who want to crush the Rail Transport Unions (RUT in the UK...) of workers who keep them safe for the rest of us who do use them. Same sad anti-railway politics in Australia, Canada, the US and India - the results are sad and sadly fatal. Railway Blues...
