Made this playlist for anyone who may be experiencing symptoms of split personality, bi polar depression, multiple personality disorder, dissociative identity disorder including schizophrenia, heck it, it's for everyone. 

The first half of the playlist includes tracks to remind you that you are not alone and that although you may not be understood by most, that there is understanding of your fragmentation by individuals like myself who have shared your experiences and is taking the time to bring a common ground and bring more awareness, education and resources.

"Everyone is broken" is so cliche and what most people say about others and themselves which leads to isolation and interferes with our happiness in correlation to the balance between our minds and hearts, that is how we unconsciously limit ourselves from seeking help or avoid doing the necessary work within ourselves and others.

But then there's those of us who may be more broken than others and that itself becomes the very nature and factor of our internal conflict with the external world, especially when it's beyond the surface. 

Many times, our internal conflict creates external conflicts of which is a clear sign that we must all find to understand ourselves by grounding ourselves in the middle within ourselves and the Universe - God despite what external forces may attempt to interfere with your relationship with you, yourself and God within you. 

Many times its an outcome of mind bindings done through mind control tactics which often times trace back to spiritual warfare through psychological warfare rooted from our early development years and throughout our lives through auto- suggestion programming... sometimes it's hereditary or biological. But this is why the trifecta of life requires full awareness from the world within us and around us, past, present and future. In order to do so we must set ourselves apart from what everyone else is doing and center ourselves by building a relationship with ourselves and the God that lives in us. It's our job to find the source within us, no one can do that for you, especially religion. 

All religions set out laws and regulations and terms and knowledge and wisdom but in the end they all lead to the same source found within through spirit and ultimate truth. "One of the greatest illusions is the illusion of separation."

 I ran into Valentin at HARD Day of The Dead, he was visiting LA and mentioned to me that he would be back in town for a while hanging. So we made some plans to mess around in the studio, no huge expectations or anything, but an opportunity to mess around with some beats! I think that our personalities and our curiosity for each others process made all of this a really natural feeling collaboration. We spent a lot of time working but we also ended up taking breaks here and there to show each other techniques, listen to music etc.. It really was a perfect example of the way I love to work on collaborative projects and am really proud of what we came up with for this!

Indigo aera is proud to release a truly special project from Japan's Yamoaka.

Yamoaka was originally formed by renowned Japanese duo Kenichi Oka and Yoshinori Yamazaki, until 2007 when the project was continued solo by Kenichi Oka. 

Kenichi strictly uses hardware and creates unique loop based bleep sounds which draws resemblances with minimalist Steve Reich but also blending in a techno-esque touch comparable to Terrence Dixon's Population one. Kenichi has a fixed forward style of working: all tracks are made with hardware live in real time, without use of computers, only controlled by the Roland MC50 as a sequencer. Kenichi achieves a live feel to all his work, recording his tracks in real time without the use of DAW's or computers, instead utilising his Roland MC50 sequencer with perfect effect.

As long time fans of Kenichi's 'under the radar' work, Indigo aera bosses Jasper and Maarten approached him to release a retrospective selection of his works for the first time on vinyl. The result is a collection of hand picked tracks previously released on CD-only plus 4 completely new and unheard.

The double 12" is also a follow-up to the 2x12" Indigo mini album series which featured tracks from Louis Haiman and Kirk Degiorgio. Similarly, this release is highly limited to 298 copies only and released on vinyl only.

In 21st century newsrooms, journalists, social media teams, and picture editors are now faced with more graphic content than ever before. Filtering and verifying user-generated content is a now a core part of the news process and in recent years the Syrian civil war, the rise of Islamic State and civil unrest has meant that many journalists and viewers are exposed to disturbing images on a daily basis.

Research by the Dart Center for Journalism and Trauma suggests that related trauma can cause a triad of disabling responses, and a study carried out by Eyewitness Media Hub found that individuals working with content of a graphic or distressing nature were most affected. So how are journalists at risk of vicarious trauma from user generated content? And what do we know about the effects of vicarious trauma on viewers?

On this week’s podcast, host and journalist Della Kilroy is joined by Storyful’s Director of News Joe Galvin, journalists Jenny Hauser and Razan Ibraheem, and Bruce Shapiro, Executive Director of the Dart Center for Journalism and Trauma, a project of Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism encouraging innovative reporting on violence, conflict and tragedy worldwide.  

The panel discusses what impact graphic content has on both journalists and viewers and how we can confront vicarious trauma in the age of graphic online content consumption.
