My song, the core was written after my ex broke up with me. The lyrics capture the raw emotion i felt when he broke the news that he was no longer interested in me, using an apple as the stimuli for a metaphor to compare him to. Making reference to snow white’s poison apple and the garden of eden. The title of the song “the core” is symbolising the centre of an apple, and i used it metaphorically to represent my ex’s true identity and emotions once i had realised our relationship wasn’t built to last.

Hey listeners, it’s ClaraTee (aka Clara)
I’m a singer-songwriter, and I hope to share my work with you all! I’ve been songwriting for 5 years and since I was 10. As of September 2022, I’m now studying the popular and commercial music course at the Purcell School for young musicians.
I tend to write my songs in a slightly jazzy-pop style… although sometimes I like to go out of my comfort zone and try different genres of music.
