Daisy Records Volume Three

As we venture to foreign lands over the last two years, so too does our label and the artists that join us on this year's compilation. Presenting 'Volume Three', including twelve tracks from producers based in Naarm, Berlin, London, Boorloo, Barcelona, Eora & Leeds.

Across twelve pieces, forms a microcosmic diorama—introspective, expansive, and trickled with odes to 90s ambient, downtempo trance and dub. Aethereal pads glide over synthetic breaks, reflecting a tension between organic flow and artificial symmetry.

This compilation stands as a monument to the liminal—the space between digital and dream, pulsing like coded signals from distant outposts, a mosaic of futures imagined through bygone lenses.

Come now as we follow Ninja-Warrior J Gheesey’s ascension towards his calling, only to end up falling. Becoming the thing he swore to destroy, and realising he was the monster the whole time. Taking place over the course of 5 acts, you will witness J’s prediction of his descent into madness as he pursues a life of rap, or just the emotional retelling of that one acidic trip through the ‘Waste’ when the world was on fire. Beginning in the early days before the nuclear bomb that destroyed the planet, rendering it a global WASTELAND, we pick up in the basement with the Bone Zone, cooking beats and chasing dreams. As J looks to the stars, adventure awaits and several Mutants to encounter and recruit along the way. However, like all things, he learns that once you see the highest heights with the prettiest views, you always hit with the ugliest truths. The thing that we want most is not the thing we want forever, or even to begin with. You start to lose your mind the harder you try to live in this fantasy. It is a toxic curse, but all we can do is push through the Waste-Pits. Everything is Waste. YOUR MIND, OUR WORLD. However you cannot enjoy the good, if not for the bad and you should welcome this optimism, make the most of what you have and put your talents to use. So now, all I ask is that you activate your headphones, commence your voyage into the unknown and begin to imagine, understand and ultimately embrace the graceful fall into this beautiful hellscape. There are only 2 kinds of people in this world, face yourself and question whether you are either the Waste-Freak, or the Dominator.
