Welcome to this non-official AfrikaBurn account which is a gift to our community since 2017 and tries to keep track of all the lovely AfrikaBurn music on SoundCloud. Because we love AfrikaBurn music.

AfrikaBurn 2024 - CREATION

You might be home, but the music remains.

This playlist is a growing collection of all the sets I can find that were played at Afrikaburn 2024 as they are released by the artists. 

Be patient, and keep checking back, last year it took 2 or 3 months for the sets all to be released.

To make it easier to find your favourite set, I have ordered this Playlist alphabetically by CAMP/VENUE/SOUND-RIG - (D)ung Beetle, (M)ad Hatters, (O)o-aa-sies, (S)pace Cowboys, (U)buhlanti, (W)hy Not, etc- and then by date and time (where it is given)

Try to remember where you heard it and then look from there.
Some artists use different references. So it could be under (R)hino or (L)oki. 

About ¾ of the way down the list, after (W)hy Not, I have grouped all the sets that didn’t show a venue, alphabetically by artist name.

It's not perfect, but hopefully, it will make it easier to find the set you are looking for.

Afrika Burn 2024 - Sentimental Sunset: An Emotional Techno Journey on Tuesday - MBOMBO Opening

I had the privilege of performing my first ever live set at the 8th Day of Creation (@8doc_music) at Afrikaburn 2024 between 10-12pm on the Saturday night. The theme of this years Burn was "Creation" and so it felt so fitting to play all original music at this incredible art piece. 

The stage was built by an international team from Berlin and Cape Town, and depicted a pregnant mother with the earth as her belly, a space of renewal, reconnection and rebirth.

I used Ableton Push, Novation Launch Control XL, Akai MPK Mini and Playtronica's touch sensitive midi hardware which I connected to a mushroom to trigger sound.

Thank you to 8Doc for having me as a part of your beautiful stage and thank you to all those who trekked to the far end of the playa to dance with me.

We were given the opportunity to play this fire set at the 8th day of creation with the view of the stars in our horizon playing this set was so much fun we both really enjoyed it and we hope you will too. We believe this set and kind of music can be played in peak times as it offers a lot of body and continuously will stimulate your mind taking you simultaneously to places of only joy.
