You can hear how personal this is right away, like grief is sitting beside you, not wailing, just remembering. The instrumental is beautiful on its own, but these lyrics take it somewhere deeper. That image of walking through the garden, sun on the grass, hits even harder once you realize why it matters. No overdramatizing, just raw truth wrapped in sunlight, laughter & that quiet ache of knowing. The line "You made it easy just being you" cracked something open. Huge respect to both of you for making something so honest & human. This is my 'small' gentle version of my song 'No Enemy'. It's got just two guitars, vocals, slapped knees, and a blackbird singing.

It's a peaceful song about someone who spent years full of hate. When the hate fades they feel empty, because all that hating had kept them entertained. But, in the song the scary emptiness the person feels is beautiful and full of possibilities.

A few days ago, Brian Wilson - one of the greatest creators of pop rock music and a surf rock icon - passed away! R.I.P. 🍀

Brian’s songs, both recorded with The Beach Boys and solo songs, are always innovative and enjoyable at the same time 🔆

The album “Pet Sounds” (released in 1966) by The Beach Boys is a real masterpiece that enchants and inspires many musicians to this day!
The wonderful song “God Only Knows” which comes from this album is the work of Brian Wilson. One of several best songs of all time indeed! 😎

Also worth recommending is Brian Wilson's solo album entitled “Smile” (released only in 2004) which includes the brilliant track "Good Vibrations”. The whole album impresses with its fresh ideas and innovative sound! 

I really love it 🔆 I'm sure Brian Wilson's beautiful and fascinating music will stay with us forever!

When Noobly sent me the instrumental I was blown away with its beauty. My instant thought was that I have to come up with something as equal and meaningful. I had to write from the heart and I have always had a vivid memory of the last time I spent with a close friend a week before his passing.
 I’ve tried to paint the picture from my head into the lyrics.
There’s not a day I don’t think or mention him as it’s the third anniversary this year of his death.
He died of liver cancer that took him swiftly from this world. He left a Wife  and two beautiful young adult daughters. 
Rest in peace Andy my friend and I will never forget the laughs you gave me and support over our long 
Friendship.

The Last Time ~ Conscience Of Kings

This is the first in a series of eight easy, acoustic, rather short and inconclusive tracks, which I’ve assembled by working on new and reworking on some old material adding parts and sounds. 
Will anything actually happen in the end? Unlikely. Definitely not here. Here it’s a montage of bare arpeggios in various keys.
I recorded this some weeks ago: sorry about the guitar sound, the string squeak is a bit too much; now, I hope to have fixed that investing in a better and more expensive set of strings.

In case nothing happens - part 1 (night)*

This track began as a MIDI track I had made using Logic. The individual stem tracks were then sent to the great Dr. Zwakkus, who then added his own tracks, remixed, remastered, and often times even performed many of these tracks on real instruments to render this musical idea into a true mark of Zwakkonian brilliance.  It is to be noted that any real instruments being played (guitar, bass, vocals and drums I believe) were played by Dr. Zwakkus himself.  The end result of this made the track tower high above the original idea that I sent him, and I am extremely grateful to have had this opportunity to collab with who I consider to be, probably the most original and innovative sounding artist there is, or at least I've ever heard.  Please do check out his music if you haven't, for I guarantee it is unlike anything you've ever heard in your life.

Broken Halo

This track is a brutally honest reflection on how photographs can both heal and wound. Each verse unpacks the contradiction of frozen smiles and hidden pain—how a single image can bring back laughter, love, and beauty, while at the same time reopening scars of betrayal, heartbreak, and regret. The song carries a gritty, unfiltered tone with heavy emotional punches, laced with profanity to underline its rawness.

The chorus hammers home the paradox: photos are joy, but they’re also pain. The bridges push this tension even further, painting photos as both daggers and time machines that trap the singer between past love and unresolved wounds. By the outro, it’s clear that photographs aren’t just memories—they’re curses and blessings, forcing the singer to confront everything they’ve lived through, good and bad.

Welcome to Gaz Brownie music projects.
Gaz Brownie music projects is a collection of collaborative work from more recent projects to the bands I have played in over the years.
Been singing since the age of 15 in bands and various music projects.
I play guitar on my solo stuff but really only as a vehicle to write songs and finds cords for vocal melodies, and also a little keyboards. 
To date I have recorded and wrote/ co wrote over 200 songs in a professional studio environment, working with established producers . Played endless live gigs with numerous bands and projects.
I have had music published, appeared on TV/radio, Music videos, released albums, Eps and singles, on several different labels. 
Style preference is a indie pop/rock vibe focusing on interesting lyrics, vocal melodies and catchy chorus lines.
