I made a cover song of one of my favorite childhood songs. This is the signature music composed by Olli Ahvenlahti from the Finnish family TV series  called Susikoira Roi (1987), which is based on the book written by Jorma Kurvinen.

Neno, is a multi-genre composer, guitarist, keyboard & bass player, and occasionally singer with a warm voicecolor. He has also another project/page, Danen II (covers and support). We worked in the recent past together, resulting in songs expressing deep emotional feeling.

The instrumental "Lost souls" cuts already deep in the heart.. The lyrics i found in the deepest well.

This is us *

This is the latest song from the album Wou-Wou & the Wormling, Stricknice, Bitzone, and I have been working on. Like all the rest of the songs in the set, this one began during the start of the pandemic and reflects the changes in political perspective that were happening in society, and continue to this day. And, as with the other songs, I started this song with an unreleased demo from Wou-Wou and created a 1 minute outline which I then often passed on to a guest collaborator. When it came time to fully work on the track, I expanded on the original idea, along with the guest collaborator stems, until a full song was arranged. I then passed the bones and organs of the song to Stricknice and Bitzone to add any additional muscles and flesh they believed in until it was finished. I am so blessed to work with Wou-Wou, Bitzone, Stricknice, and all the guest collaborators on this inspired set, that one day will be complete. 

May everyone find something authentic to themselves to believe in.

Since I have been busy gardening lately, I haven’t been on SoundCloud all that much. But today… June 17th, it has been cold and rainy, with some snow (yes, snow!) predicted for tonight. So I have tarps and covers ready to go, to cover the frost sensitive plants. Years ago, when I first posted songs here, my exuberance often blinded me to just how bad those songs were. So I ended up posting and deleting songs all the time. Once a dude asked if I was using a mic, as the ‘white noise’ machine hiss of the HD was unbearable. He said it in the kindest of ways. I did end up getting a mic and also did a song thanking him. Other times, I used to introduce my songs with a deep, drawling voice. That was hilariously comedic. Another dude laughed so hard when I was first learning to sing. I posted a song with me warbling from baritone to high falsetto…. OMG. Later, I laughed too. People here were graciously patient and kind as I struggled to learn music way back when. Unlike a friend’s parents who chased him in an effort to take away his banjo and he never played music again. So thanks for bearing with me, as I test out vocal harmonies that really don’t work, or just wing a song, with no rhyme of reason. Or when I rant and howl about this or that. Because that kindness has allowed me to explore music in a way I never would have before.  Mark

Unfortunately, despite bravely serving Her Majesty's Space Navy, Vice Commandant Dubois has been court martialed and convicted for conduct not befitting an officer and counterfeiting baseball cards, stripped of his command of the SS Budapest, and dishonorably discharged from Her Majesty's Space Navy, though certain recordings of his guitar, synth, bass, beats, and forward deployable laser blasters remain here memorialized for posterity. Let it be known that though he has sunk to the very depths of ignominy, we wish him well in his new venture, the Spandex Spanktroverse.
