When documentarian Morgan Spurlock died last week on May 23, he left behind a body of work befitting a much longer career. He was a guest on this show four times, and we've chosen two of those conversations to share with you this week. 

From 2004: For his feature directorial debut Super Size Me, Spurlock explored the effects of an American fast food diet via an unscientific experiment using himself as a guinea pig: for 30 days, he ate nothing but McDonald's meals-- 3 per day, with limited exercise and checking in with doctors along the way. Could you predict the results? 

From 2011: POM Wonderful PRESENTS: THE GREATEST MOVIE EVER SOLD is, to quote IMDB, "a documentary about branding, advertising and product placement that is financed and made possible by brands, advertising and product placement." Employing his now-trademark satirical edge, Spurlock set out to make audiences aware of how pervasive are products in films and how insidious are the ways of advertisers.

IN A VIOLENT NATURE is an arthouse slasher throwback from the killer's POV and we talk with lead ensemble actors Ry Barrett & Andrea Pavlovic. 

A motherless newborn, a diary, an old assault and the Russian Mafia all play parts in EASTERN PROMISES, in which a man becomes enmeshed in a complicated and dangerous chain of events.
