Nice sounds, a really cool break and a track that spreads a good mood. The main melody is great. But: Not your best song without me wanting to harp on about it too much. Next time it will sound like I know it. I'm sure of that ;)

What a nice creative extended intro. I really liked the ( timbre ) changes you take it though. Creatively, this track is among your best stuff, imo.

When  the theme then fully blooms, it all gets a bit overly bright and thin, I think.  It's a lovely theme, though. Very catchy.

I like the melodic playfulness of this and it’s positive energy vibe.

really nice sound design on the plinky plonks and that melody is catchy.

The second half hurts my ears/brain.  So much high mids?

The highs are a little strident - or maybe just too loud to my ears.

This is my submission to the #kvraudio #OneSynthChallenge #195 featuring the VST Synth Ragnaroek by FullBucket. 
All sounds are coming from the Synth acompanied by a number of moderate tone shaping, mixing and mastering fx. I Mix/Master with MeldaProduction EQ/Compressor, Auburn Lense, Loudmax Limiter. All fx free or built into the DAW. DAW is Bitwig 5.3.x. No Samples. No Postprocessing after the audio export.

Ragnarök 2 by Full Bucket and Crimson Warlock

Last encountered in OSC70 this synth is available for Windows, Mac and Linux. Ragnarök 2 is an update of this unique synth simulating a custom-built one-of-a-kind analog synthesizer from 1980. It is written in native C++ code for high performance and low CPU consumption.

Ragnarök is the collaborative work of Hans Peter aka CrimsonWarlock aka TechnoGremlin (synth concept, GUI design, user manual, patch programming) and Björn aka Full Bucket (DSP+GUI+patch programming). This month's One Synth Challenge uses Ragnarok by FullBucket (and CrimsonWarlock). The slightly odd interface took a wee bit of getting used to but I'll not use that as an excuse for this effort. It does contain some passable bird type noises hence the unrelated reflection of a jungle in my living room. This is a first outing for my Exquis so most of it was recorded from live rather than my usual generated MIDI.

Anyway, this is brought to you with Bitwig Studio 5.3 and 19 instances of Ragnarok.  The following plugins were also used:

- dpMeter5, Blue Cat's Gain 3 and KClip Zero on clip to zero duty
- khs Delay, Reverb and Stereo to tart things up a bit
- Panflow to get it moving
- Bitwig's compressor+, eq+, drum machine, delay+ and multi-note
- the inevitable Valhalla Supermassive and almost as inevitable Raum for some reverb flavours
- TDR Kotelnikov and Nova for mastering with a wee bit of KClip Zero 

Also used Modalics Beat Scholar to generate the MIDI for the percussion and iZotope's Tonal Balance for, er, tonal balancing...

I've been brought back to my video game soundtrack drafts lately. This song focuses on an atmosphere of a lush alien world that was turned into a battlefield. Although I'm happy with the usual Simmons style drums I made with this synth, there is a strange behaviour that occurs when two that uses noise instances playing simultaneously, some kind of weird phasing/flanging effect. I tried to minimize it as much as possible, but I can still hear it. The synth itself has good tone shaping capabilities and it's CPU efficient just like all Full Bucket instruments. I really like the sound of an overdrive and chorus effects, the much needed sauce for a virtual analog.

Spaghetti Code Groove [OSC197]

The gremlins in Negoba's studio decided to steal snippets of his previous OSC's to create a monster destined to confound and disgust all listeners. Unbeknownst to them, their creation (Jenkins) instead prefers cuddles and long walks on the beach.

All sounds created using Odin2 Softsynth by Wave Warden for KVR OSC #197.

Mix of stock presets, tweaked presets, and init. Shout back a bit to a previous track where I used Odin on an open round. I think I’ve learned a little since then.

This month was a real challenge!

When I looked at Odin, I came up with the idea of a true One (!) Synth Challenge – just a single instance, no excuses.
I dove deep into sound design and quickly realized: this would become a real borderline experience.

While endlessly tweaking, I kept discovering new sonic paths – sometimes inspiring, sometimes frustrating.
Odin could be pretty temperamental when dealing with MIDI, but in the end, I managed to shape something that feels raw, tense, and expressive.

So here it is: Grenzerfahrung (borderline experience) –
a track born from limitation, chaos, and way too many hours. ;)
