The lyrics tell a tough story. Jail is no fun in any place and Mexico would not among the best. I like the slightly Mexican flavour in the backing sound, and the vocal is clear and musically articulate. A sweetly serious song about a place of torment.

The music distracts bittersweetly from the first theme. I really like it when the packaging doesn't match the content. It gives the song a whole different tension. Musically, the song is excellently arranged and recorded and conveys a rousing feeling.

This song is inspired by a true story of a Mexican citizen I met who was incarcerated for 3 years without ever being charged, tried, or sentenced. Sadly, this is all too common in Mexico: "Four out of every 10 Mexicans currently behind bars have not been convicted of a crime, according to new official statistics that experts say show the depth of injustice in the country . . .
