spanish romance

This is a new clip from my latest concert on 9 August 2022. I'm playing the famous music of Asturias, also called Leyenda. The powerful music in A B A form from Suite Española by Albeniz,

Albeniz wrote the Asturias for piano, and was later arranged for classical guitar by Maestro Andrés Segovia. The contrast between the first part of the Asturias, of the percussive beat and the Flamenco rhythm against the whimpering sound of the guitar in the second part is overwhelming!

Asturias became an icon for Rock guitarists when the rock band 'The doors' adopted the theme in their song 'Spanish Caravan' from their 1968 album 'Waiting for the Sun'. From then on, the Rock world has been indulging with countless versions of Asturias.

I have recently joined the aspiring musicians with my own arrangement for classical and Rock guitar and yet, there's more to come... enjoy!
