I wrote this song about not really understanding how people work, and sometimes the actual words people are saying feel like noise to me because I can't always catch what they're actually trying to say. I have a hard time with people sometimes, and I think a lot of people can relate to that.
I wrote the guitar part first, which is pretty rare for me. I wanted to write something with chords that are more complicated than major and minor, I haven't used any 7 chords in my songs up until now. They add some tension. The words kind of just wrote themselves.
