I am a singer/songwriter and musician. I’ve been writing and performing for 30+ years.

I fell in love with music when I heard the Beatles on Ed Sullivan. When I was 16 I sang and played guitar in my first cover band (Grand Funk Railroad!). In the following years I was in and out of various original and cover bands and played bars and clubs in NJ/NY. I was also writing and playing solo. 

In the '80s I had my first home studio with a Tascam Teac 244 Portastudio. I wrote songs, sang, played guitar, bass, keyboards and programmed drums. In 2000 I bought a 8 track Roland VS880 Digital Studio Workstation and in 2020 I started recording with Adobe Audition. I have written 300+ songs, some of which are under contract with industry publishers and I have several independently released albums available on various internet sites. 

I am a graduate of The Institute of Audio Research and a previous member of the Songwriters Guild and ASCAP. I hosted the 1978 Arts Center Arts Café in Maplewood NJ. From 2001-2005 I played in a blues rock band that performed in NJ and from 2016-2020 I played 350 solo acoustic shows at restaurants, bars and private events in NJ/NY. I am currently writing and recording new material in my home studio.

Some of my influences include The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Eric Clapton, Doors, Animals, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Muddy Waters, Paul Simon, John Lennon, Stevie Wonder, Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty, Dire Straits, Elvis Costello, John Mellencamp, Neil Young, Jeff Beck, Pink Floyd and David Bowie. In addition, some of my favorite guitarists are Mike Bloomfield, Mick Ronson, Robin Trower, Mick Ralphs and Kim Simmonds.

Former lead singer and guitarist of the much-loved band, Trophy Wife, Jody was also an original member of the equally popular Jonquil, also fleetingly playing keys with math rock pioneers TTNG. He started out playing in bands from a young age, cutting his teeth with regular forays into London at venues such as The Borderline and Dingwalls whilst still at school. During university, seeking a more academic musical path, Jody moved into the more leftfield world of post and math rock. Then, stripping things back, a short burst of success with Trophy Wife followed, becoming one of the most blogged bands in the UK after releasing the hugely popular single 'Microlite' on Moshi Moshi records. A period of touring and high profile festival appearances followed alongside luminaries such as Bombay Bicycle Club, Foals, Two Door Cinema Club, No Age and a show opening for Ed Sheeran in Paris. Jody  then took some time away from the music industry to focus on working in music education which he continues to do whilst producing his own distinctive brand of cinematic folk. Having recently released an album of nature-inspired guitar instrumentals, 'Trails', Jody continues to strike out on his own distinctive path as a solo artist. He has been regularly impressing audiences with his inventive guitar playing, soulful vocals and striking lyrical imagery. Jody recently finished working on a new full length album, 'River Songs', which is due for release in June 2024.

Kevin Kilberry is a Songwriter writing across different genres. I have written over 100 songs in the categories of R&B, Country, Rock, Folk, Gospel/Inspirational, Blues, Indi Pop and Rock. I am self-taught and have come to love the craft and have a deep appreciation for the industry and the artists that are its soul.

Recently I entered one of my songs in the 2023 USA Songwriting Competition and won 1st place in the R&B category for my song The Man You See.  The song was performed by a friend of mine Jon Rappa who is a brilliant signer and musician.
 
Before songwriting I spent a career in the software business building a marketing business from scratch.  I live in Illinois with my wife and 9 adopted cats we saved from the wild and shelters.
