My new trio "Fernbed" performs & records live ,in front of an audience, unrehearsed, remixes of some of my favorite music. Nothing is looped. Everything is played manually. No effects added in post except a little reverb.  I've been playing with the same bassist and drummer for years, but only in free jazz or traditional jazz settings. My band-mates only know the key & tempo moments before we record.  

In the early 90's, I was "ghost" remix producer for famous hip-hop and R&B producers in Atlanta . I think I was the first person on Arista Records to produce up-tempo house remixes for down-tempo R&B artists. ( I was good with an Akai S1000, a Macintosh SE/30 and a calculator.) Oh, how the technology has changed...

My first synth was a Roland Juno 6.
