So this is the last completed work of 2013, started earlier in the year but completed much later. More or less, it was completed out of stress and anger and frustration and all of that good stuff. Despite all of that, though, I really enjoy the piece.

During its conception, I recall wanting to make a kind of like...final boss theme? So it starts out with an introductory three notes which repeat rather slowly, giving off the impression that something quite big is on the way. Listening to it now, though, and figuring the circumstances under which it was completed, I don't really see it much as a final boss theme anymore. Now, it's just pleasant to listen to. Oh, and it loops. Lovely.

Mad Organ

Constructing armors can be tough...especially futuristic ones.

This is an entry to the official RPG Maker forums' weekly contest, Weekly Art Challenge, in which this week's theme was to design an armor. Not being much of a visual artist, I decided to make a theme for a game in which players build and customize their own kinds of armor. I'll admit I went a little overboard with this one...it didn't need to be as complicated as I made it, but I believe the end-result is something one can certainly groove to.

The beginning of this piece starts out one way, but it does change over time. Can you figure out what my intentions for each change could possibly be?

Last but not least, I actually went through the effort of fully mixing and mastering this track to the best of my ability...a concept that is somewhat new to me! Ah, but youtube tutorials...they do wonders. Am I right?

Super Hyper Ultra Active Armor Construction Is Go!!

The miracles of new life...

So this was a quickie I composed for yet another Weekly Art Challenge from the official RPG Maker forums. The theme of this week? "Egg." Yes, I know. There are so many possibilities with such a theme. So I felt making a theme that represents a baby (something) hatching from an egg was in order. Imagine throughout the piece, if you will, the egg from its conception to its eventual hatching time. The piece swells at the end, and from there, instead of a grand finish, it ends subtly and sweetly...as how all life comes into the world.

I certainly had a good time making this track, including the small mastering job I pulled on it. I hope you have a good time listening to it, as well! So long for now~!

So it's a new year, and rather than start out with something new, I'm just going to put up a track made earlier...last year. It's a remake (the first I'm posting up ever!) from that classic NES game, Uninvited. This is the song played when you get (you guessed it!) game over, which, if you've ever played the game before, you know happened QUITE a bit.

Remade using FL Studio. VST library is from Kontakt 5. Will hopefully put something new out in the upcoming week or so. Enjoy~!

Uninvited - Game Over

Hello, all! That Maestro Guy here.

It's been a while, but that doesn't mean I haven't been working on things. For some reason, however, instead of the norm (which is me working on music for games), my mind whizzed out to the classical realm and came up with this Prelude for no particular reason. I say that because, again, I usually make music nowadays with a purpose in mind for a game. Not today!

This song is...magical to me. I'm slightly ashamed to say I've been listening to it, nonstop, for a while, and it's not boring me. XD My ego, perhaps? No...I think it's just the love and appreciation for the music, itself. That being said, I hope that you, too, enjoy and fall in love with this Prelude as much as I have. =)

Prelude #1 In D Major - "Farewell"

Hello, everyone! It's been a while! Perhaps too long...

So life has a funny way of prolonging things that one may want to do...only to find time and reasons to bring one back to said things.

I've been wanting to remix/remaster this track for a long time, but a lot of things have been going on throughout this year. I've still been working on music (none of which has been posted here), and there's a lot going on behind the scenes, so hopefully I'll be able to show some more tantalizing results soon.

Ah, Terror Wave. I released it here on Soundcloud roughly seven months ago, but it was initially completed sometime late September/early October of last year. The original's sound was terribly bloated, so I remixed and refreshed it. The general reception was overall positive, but something about it bothered me greatly.

And so, I decided to do some tinkering to fix the sound and augment the parts that needed boosting. The end result is something I'm pretty satisfied with. Oh, but there's always room for improvement.

Oh, yes. The track itself. It's a boss theme that's super upbeat and groove-worthy. I'm quite fond of it...I hope you will be, too!
