"Picky" Demo/Concept

Guitar cover I did of Judas Priest's "Breaking The Law" from the great British Steel album.  Certainly not a hard song at all but just fun to play, and was one of the few Priest songs I could find a whole backing track of that was good.  Did the tracks on a Van Halen Rasta replica and a Van Halen Bumblebee replica (real Judas Priestish huh? haha).  Used Guitar Rig 5 Pro for the tone and recorded with Garage Band 10.

Breaking The Law - Judas Priest Guitar Cover (w/full backing track)

Another cover I did from Judas Priest's British Steel album.  Again a pretty easy song to play, but always fun.  Did the guitar parts on a Van Halen Rasta replica (Glenn Tipton's parts) and a Sawtooth Les Paul copy (for KK Downing's parts).  Again used Guitar Rig 5 and the same basic settings I did on my "Breaking the Law" cover.

Living After Midnight - Judas Priest Guitar Cover (w/full band backing track)

This is a guitar cover I did of the Journey song "Stone in Love" from the Escape album.  It has a full band backing track, I simply removed the guitars and re-recorded my own.  I used Garargeband for all of it, and recorded it on a Van Halen Super Strat Rasta replica (in the picture).

Stone In Love - Journey - Guitar Cover (w/full band backing track)

I originally recorded Soundgarden's "Outshined" as a guitar cover three years ago tuned down 1/2 step. I decided it didn't sound that great, so after Chris Cornell's untimely death I re-recorded it in standard tuning and tightened up the parts I didn't do as well the first time.  I only have one guitar I keep in standard tuning, my '96 Peavey Wolfgang Standard.  That is what I used on all the tracks.  Also used the same backing track, just set to standard pitch.

Outshined - Soundgarden - Guitar Cover (New and Improved for 2017!)

Cover I did of AC/DC's song "High Voltage" from their first album.  Recorded both the Angus and Malcolm guitar tracks as I hear them on the recording.  Did the solo more like the live way Angus Young does it, I like it more than the studio solo.  Thanks for listening.

High Voltage - AC/DC - Guitar Cover -  w/full band backing track

Cover I did of AC/DC's song "Have A Drink On Me" from Back In Black.  Recorded both the Angus and Malcolm guitar tracks as I hear them on the recording.  Was a fun song to record, as Angus' leads are a little quirkier than normal.  Thanks for listening.

Have A Drink On Me - AC/DC - Guitar Cover - w/full band backing track

This is a guitar cover I did of AC/DC's "Hells Bells" from Back in Black. I used a full backing track I got online and replaced all the guitar tracks with mine.

Since I don't have my SG anymore, and wanted to record in standard tuning, I used my '96 Peavey Wolfgang Standard for all the tracks as it's the one guitar I don't have tuned down 1/2 step.  

Used Guitar Rig 5 for the tones and recorded onto Garageband 10.  Always works well for me.

Hells Bells - AC/DC - Guitar Cover - w/full band backing track

We do "In Memorium" songs every once in a while, and we thought Rusty Cage was a good one to do, as it has some of our favorite artists involved.  Written by Chris Cornell, and then covered by Johnny Cash with Tom Petty on bass.

We went right into the next song, Wilson Pickett's Song of 1000 Dances, which I was reticent to try at first, but the song smokes and is just fun to play.
