The Charles Webster remix of this track was released in 2015 on the Japan only CD LP, 'Vacations Never Taken' (Victor Entertainment). The Ambient Mix was included on the, 'Miró In The Bathroom' release which came out on Jansen Jardin in April 2021. This is one of two previously unreleased versions available now from the Jansen Jardin Bandcamp page (see buy-link).

When not overseeing A&R and label operations for Isle Of Jura, label boss Kevin Griffiths makes time for music creation in his garden studio in Moana, a sleepy suburb of Adelaide in South Australia. It’s an idyllic location surrounded by palm trees and tropical birdlife and an inspiring spot to fire up the machines, typically with the studio door wide open to soak up the soundtrack provided by mother nature. The resulting tracks, recorded in the midst of the pandemic with no gig distractions, were all heavily influenced by this backdrop of tropical birdsong and wind blowing through the palms, field recordings of which made it into most of the tracks. The album traverses Deep House, Nu-disco, Balearica and Ambient along with some Leftfield samples and a heavy dose Dub throughout. 

The LP is Pressed on heavyweight 180 Gram Vinyl with sleeve design by IOJ resident designer Bradley Pinkerton.

NO ZU Saxophonist and multi-instrumentalist Cayn Borthwick is undertaking a Master of Music specialising in Interactive Composition. As part of the degree, Cayn has set himself the formidable challenge of producing one piece per week for 52 weeks. One of the 52 was the groundwork for ‘Tools’ – a track that he’s fine-tuned and kindly donated to the Sanpo archives as a free download. Tools is a dubby, sax-laden track, residing somewhere between a freeform avant-disco jam and a 2001 space odyssey. Enjoy!

This is just bonkers. The ultimate version - some kind of tiki-tinged ketamin tropico cover-version of Donna Summer's epic classic. This record is invisible and probably one of the most in demand records you could possibly showcase. It’s not a bootleg or anything like that, it’s actually from the early 1980s and it’s from Asia. Cover is also nuts with golden foil embossing. This is for sure one of the craziest if not the best of all Donna Summer covers I’ve ever heard.

Record is VG, quite noisy (listen to the clip) and without sleeve, but damn this is hell of a build up and a killer vibe that comfortably juggles AOR, Indie Rock, Fleetwood and Disco Funk over a stretch of just about nearly 4 minutes. It wouldn't be here if you were likely to find this elsewhere.

Hell Yeah welcomes the Italian musical collective @AuraSafari for a debut EP on the label.

The band, who are at the forefront of a new Italian fusion sound that blends jazz-funk, electronic and world sounds, is made up of acclaimed house devotee Nicholas Iammatteo, plus Alessandro Deledda, Lorenzo Lavoratori, Daniele Melloni and Andrea Moretti. They contributed a standout track to the Buena Onda - Balearic Beats compilation last year as well as releasing a full length LP on UK label Church to critical acclaim.

Opener 'Dreams of Music' is a lush, new age groove with rich musicality, wind instruments and live drums all glowing warmly as you roll into sundown. 'Oasis' then sinks into a reflective mood, with lazy drums and sensuous late night chords sounding like Roy Ayers all loved up and super stoned. The noodling keys really melt your heart before the excellent 'Slow Divers' pairs more majestic bass riffs with wet claps and splashing cymbals as a wandering lead drifts up to the heavens. It has a dubby swagger to it that is superbly subtle.

Closing out the EP 'Libra', is a heartwarming, slow motion, jazz-funk fusion packed with detail and life affirming synth playing.

These are gloriously heartfelt tracks that showcase this collective's supreme musical ability as well as their unquestionable understanding of jazz, funk and soul, past, present and future.
