Nitres is a North Carolina native emcee and singer also the CEO of the indie label Mila Musik Group. Currently based out of Baltimore, MD., Nitres continues to showcase his lyrical talent and swagger on the microphone with every track that he touches. Nitres originally made his footprint into this industry in his home town of Raleigh North Carolina, which later lead to opening for acts such as Sammie. He would later merit collaborations with numerous commercial recording artists such as Petey Pablo, Lil Ru, DJ Unk, Pastor Troy and Cory Gunz and Mike Jones to name a few. Nitres is currently following up on the success of his new single “SORRY” with an anticipated EP. Darwin has had a vibrant music scene for quite some time, but now modern rock outfit Chasin Aces appears ready, willing and more than able to add another exciting chapter to their home towns rock history book.

As proven throughout their debut EP, recorded with renowned Brisbane producer Stuart Stuart, Chasin Aces have absorbed influences ranging from the vocal styling of Pink to the musical blend of Paramore and Evanescence. What is left is filtered through each members own unique musical perspectives, with the result being a true feast for the senses, blending bold emphatic guitar with a raw and powerful female voice.

Chasin Aces deliver their musical goods with passion, power and a vision that belies their limited time since inception.

Formed in 2011 by family members Jared and Rhys Winter and Stuart 'Ducky' Richardson, it didn't take long to recruit vocalist Melanie Totten after hearing her perform at a mutual friends party. Along with recently acquired guitarist Jordan Atwill, they round out the 5 piece guitar driven rock band.

Chasin Aces perform regularly at local musicians havens The Chippo and Happy Yess, holding both regular gigs and supporting slots for various causes. Such causes include:

*The Northern Territory Early Intervention Pilot Program (In conjunction with the NT Government) to reduce underage youth binge drinking.

*Working alongside Northern Territory AIDS and Hepatitis Council (NTAHC) in providing free condoms during gigs to promote safe sex.

*Participating in SLAM Day 2012 by hosting an all ages event involving various local youth bands.

Holly is a professional singer and Kora player (West African Harp used for baby naming celebrations). She works at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital for LIME Music for Health and is a registered Music Therapist.

She will be working in residency at the Neonatal Unit at Royal Stoke University Hospital to support singing, helping parents and siblings to create and use simple songs because their voices are the best music for their baby.

The Royal London is a leading, internationally renowned teaching hospital based in east London which includes one of the largest children's hospitals in the UK. 

This summer term, children under 5 and their families from wards which include the Children’s Daycare (Retinoblastoma Clinic), Gastroenterology Ward and the Neonatal Unit, will be visited by Early Years music specialists Zoe Palmer and Jack Ross, and Spitalfields Music Trainee Abimaro Gunnel.  Participants will engage in a music exploration that will provide them with a stimulating, creative and non-institutional atmosphere. One of the primary impacts of the music will be to reduce stress and encourage relaxation for all participants.

Developed by Vital Arts and Spitalfields Music, this project builds on two intensive projects with the post labour ward and under 5s through the Baby Bird creative music projects.  The creative team will work with play specialists, nursing staff, and speech and language therapists to devise a bespoke project and CD resource that enhances hospital care for young patients, their families and staff.

While John Doe has matured gracefully into a laid-back state of discontent, it is his early compositions with Exene Cervenka that most of his California disciples emulate. For most of us, sex and dying in the high society remains the embodiment of the rock ethos, so it's unfair to moan about the endless proliferation of such dark alley love songs -- but it's also time to stop pretending that the subject matter is edgy. Songs about sex and hookers and drugs are no longer "punk"; it's what the kids expect. 
Andy Bartel and Eddie Fritz, the songwriters behind Slojack, are the rare subversive element in California's crop of Doe-eyed Americana purveyors. These men of tattoos and roots rock swagger attack its gang-imagery-weaned audience with tenderhearted tears and love songs to guys named Romeo. While their tunes sound like workhorse numbers by the Cramps ("Disagreeable") and Soul Distortion ("Someday the Rain"), they have an ultra-sensitive gay perspective ("How can I convince you / Every strange embrace / Only makes / My heart break even more") that makes initial spins utterly shocking. You get to the surge of their guitars, expecting the drums to subconsciously pound liquor into you -- but instead, you're flooded with images of shoulders wet from tears and caring too much. You even get "The Rainbow Bridge", a Prince-like afterlife number, where the dead are paid with respect and love, not drug metaphors. When you're accustomed to bands in this genre being infatuated with Haggard and Cash for their cred-enhancing jail time rather than their spiritual awakenings, it throws you for a loop when one asks, "Will this world make us cry before we finally grow strong?" 
Slojack are not the first band to make a song that's sensitive or gay-themed, but they're one of very few willing to deliver such material to an audience that's clearly expecting something else. Bartel and Fritz are legitimate rebels who refuse to give lazy ears the recycled debauchery they want, and who say whatever the fuck crosses their minds. They're perhaps a bit too forthcoming about the frequency of their tearful outbursts, but many girls and guys will relate, and be impressed.
