MUSIC BIOGRAPHY

Lawrence Ball is a versatile and innovative composer who has a multiple focus as a composer,improviser and audio-visual creator. He has collaborated with healers, therapists and counsellors as well as writing for dance, film, orchestra,and choir and is as much at home writing a score as creating electronic or computer music. In 2017 he completed his 6th Symphony. He collaborated with Pete Townshend and software engineer Dave Snowdon on the Method Music project, designing music software for a web server which generated over 10000 musical pieces - 'portraits' - over the internet. Pete Townshend also helped Lawrence record a double album "Method Music" now available through Amazon, and through Amazon and iTunes as a download.

His work is largely tonal (in the sense of an identifiable set of notes that are emphasised - rarely changing the key, central note). It is contemporary, in that it has much in it which is formed anew - not directly influenced or inspired from the classical music tradition. It is often associated with meditational or New Age aspects, because of the strong emphasis on its relationship with silence and presence, it makes more use of the space between notes than occurs in classical music. It is in the minimalist genre, in the sense that it borrows the idea of looping and repetition (since over 30 years) from the musical innovations of Terry Riley and LaMonte Young, and seeks deeper experiences through working with constancy, with sustained sounds and small or zero contrasts.

Since 2001 Lawrence has worked with sarod player Lisa Sangita Moskow and vocalist Manickam Yogeswaran on improvised music based on North and South Indian raga scales. He has created 6 multi-media audio-visual installations with the artist Genie Poretsky-Lee: including Anonymous Words (2007), Image Of Sound (2008) and Penumbra (2011).

He has developed techniques to deeply integrate audio and visual images with quantum physicist Michael Tusch, collaborating on this since 1993 with Dave Snowdon who created the software "Visual Harmony" to explore this arena; worked with healer/counsellor Isobel McGilvray in shaping harmonic tonescapes to aid relaxation, and has worked with choreographers/dancers (ex-Sadlers Wells Royal Ballet) Sheila Styles and (ex-Ballet Rambert) Rebecca Ham on several dance projects. Lawrence Ball has written for the pianists Yonty Solomon, Mark Swartzentruber, Tim Ravenscroft (2 suites), and Alessandra Celletti (Fractal Studies and Mist Sculptures), for The Smith (string) Quartet, the Electric Symphony Orchestra, the female vocal quartet led by Rosemary Forbes-Butler, Rosy Voices, and he wrote 6 pieces for the violist Robin Ireland (of the Lindsay Quartet) and many more for violist Neil Davis.

He composed music for the film "The Eye Of The Heart", a portrait of the life and work of the artist Cecil Collins, and features in the book on Collins and his circle by Nomi Rowe. He has recorded over 4000 piano improvisations as well as performing many live. Ball's creating in acoustic and electronic media, in composed and improvised methods is one of the broadest of any composer. He has performed in Canada, the US, Latvia, Lithuania, Italy, Switzerland, France and Germany as well as in the UK. He has accompanied the international painting group Collective Phenomena who work 'more than one to a canvas' with marathon keyboard improvisations, at John Calder's La Fonderie in Paris and The Blackie in Liverpool, as well as a Planet Tree Festival London appearance. Ball is a pioneer in music, having addressed meditative and healing presence and state-of-mind, primarily, for over 35 years. In 1996 he founded the Planet Tree Music Festival, which he also directs. Nine festivals have happened thus far. He is also a highly sought after private tutor in mathematics. He lives in London.

The Entheogenic Evolution is the musical creation of Martin Ball, a multi-instrumental musician living and working in Ashland, Oregon.  Combining multiple musical influences, Martin creates genre-defying music that is a constantly shifting and changing exploration into the world of sound, texture, rhythm, and melody.  Combining elements of alternative, goth, synth pop, folk, reggae, dub, world fusion, electronic, and more, Martin mixes acoustic instruments (6 and 12 string guitars, mandolin, Native American flute, didjeridu, percussion, harmonica) with electronic instrumentation and symphonic sounds (making all of his own beats and loops), and Tuvan-style throat and overtone singing, for a dynamic range of expressive instrumental music. His quality is guaranteed due to his 25 years as DJ, as well as he is recognized internationally. Many media, TV, press and digital magazines has shown his professionalism on the electronic national scene.

His life experience at Ibiza makes him part of the productions such as MONZA IBIZA SHOWCASE, FACTOMANIA SHOWCASE and FULL MOON BY BACCANALI. Furthermore he played repeatedly in some IBIZA clubs: SANKEYS, PACHA, EDEN, PRIVILEGE, KM5 and LIPS. He shared booth with some great artists like PACO OSUNA, JOSEPH CAPRIATI, JOHN DIGWEED, CHRSTIAN SMITH, TIGA, UNER, MARK NIGHT, REBOOT, LUCIANO and also making the WARM UP to PACO OSUNA, CRISTIAN VALERA and UMEK, among others.
On one hand, Jose Diaz is in charge of the ESSENCIA IBIZA Brand which moves the balearic character and musical concept to various clubs at the península. The best Ibiza DJs take part of the roster: JAVIER GONZALEZ, ÁNGEL LINDE, OLIVER, DAVID BALMONT also, they are some of the names at the promoter.
On the other hand, as producer, Jose Diaz can be found at variuos music websites such as BEAPORT or TAXSOURCE. He has more tan 150 trakcs on sale and numerous remixes of international artists, that shows his most creative face.
Music labels as FACTOMANIA RECORDS, PATENT SKILLZ, LE MANS, KILLERTRAXX and CLUB SESSION are a sample of his quality as producer.
Jose Diaz is the owner of the INSOLITO RECORDS music label, which have almost 10 years and nowadays is one of the TECHNO and TECH HOUSE benchmark. Has 200 references on the market. Choopie & Segall "Super light " Israel's founding DJ and owner of Agnosia Records

Super light is a collaboration that was born from love of music  - both Choopie and Segall decided to take time to make something they like, focusing only on the music.

Choopie is also a reputable music producer. In the past he was one half of Jez & Choopie, the main remix unit from Israeli (97'-98') and whose first major release "YIM" (Multiply) made the UK Top 40. The track was signed to over 20 countries and was the first major Israeli dance hit for years with Sony Music subsequently signing the duo on a Worldwide publishing deal. Additional license success followed in 1999 with two of his productions released on leading European house labels such as Basic Beats (Holland). and mixed cd with strictly rhythm music for phonokol records

Amit Segall is an aspiring young producer, keyboard player and technology artist  based in Tel-Aviv.
Segall gets involved in everything that is music, from composing music for short films and music applications to programming interactive installations . 
Classically trained in Piano, Segall's sound ranges from Dubstep and Breaks to Deep house and more subtle electronic and acoustic music.
Segall is also an Ableton live certified trainer, training musicians and DJs all over Israel, and working with bands and dance groups on building live performance sets.

"My name is Dj Goody from San Antonio, Texas. For 2 years, I hosted "Goody’s Liquid Lounge" on 91.7 FM-KRTU. Although our show was only on once a week on Friday nights, and on college radio, our program got rated by Arbitron and gave competition to all the high-powered stations in town during our time-slot. By the time we were done, we gained a massive underground following of over 25, 000 listeners per week, threw some of the hottest rave parties in town, and played mixes from some of the biggest DJ’s from Holland to Italy, and Spain to Russia. 
 
Although we mostly played mixes from places other than the US, once in a while, a local DJ caught our attention. I'm proud to say CarlosAM, known as DJ Scorpio at the time, was one of those guys. After receiving his demo through a good friend, I found myself playing it in my car non-stop and I couldn't wait to air it the following Friday. 
 
My instincts happened to be right this time, the audience loved his raw emotion and talent. Since that day, “DJ Scorpio” became our most requested DJ mix with our listeners, people just could not get enough. I can honestly say that after hearing some of the top DJ’s from around the world tear it up, “DJ Scorpio” is at the top of my list of favorite DJ’s. His vibe, charisma, and pure talent give him an edge that is rarely seen in the scene. 
 
I hope you can see what I saw and what 25, 000 other people saw and heard. I know he will become one of the top DJ s in the world one day and I think any label will be proud to have him represent them."

Bio: 

Dance Music has been in my blood since around the age of 6. I remember staying up late at night and tuning in to the radio as they would broadcast from clubs & special events around the city.  "We are coming to you LIIIIVE from Club [fill in the blank] and this place is jumping!"  My heart would begin to race as I imagined myself being there surrounded by friends having the time of my life.  I always knew that I would some how be involved with Electronic Dance Music, the night life & rave scene. 

It wasn’t until 2000 / 2001 that I started DJing for fun. But after I got the hang of it, it took on a life of it’s own.  My DJ name at the time was DJ Scorpio.  My first time playing in front of 2,000 people completely changed my life! Nothing compares to the crowd's feedback when they are feeling the music you are playing at that given moment. 

Since then I’ve played at several clubs, special events & raves / renegades.  I helped start & run 2 separate weeklies (during different years and venues).  I was also fortunate enough to be featured on Good Morning San Antonio's television news program and Goody's Liquid Lounge (Trinity University's radio station) multiply times upon listeners requests. Some of the shows I played in the past included the following DJs: D:Fuse, Planet of the Drums, Darude, Reid Speed, Keith MacKenzie, UFO, Omar Santana, Ian Van Dahl, E-sassin, Josh The Funky 1, The Warp Brothers, DJ Polywog, to name a few. 

Being a DJ is not just about playing music. It’s about creating a story or an atmosphere with the music to uplift the crowd. This is my passion.  Always has been always will be.   In fact, I decided to go back to school to study Music Theory, Electronic Music Production & Recording at Shoreline Community College.  I graduated this past June (2017) & I am about to get my second degree at the end of this Spring (2018).  

Over all I am a Techno DJ.  But I also spin Drum & Bass, Breaks & House.  I have several mixes of different Dance Music genres on my page.  Each mix has it's own theme. Reptylz aka Ju-Ju is the purple reptilian bush gangsta from Tree Thuggaz Massive. 
She's a well seasoned gem in the Sydney scene who has been involved within multiple doof crews and was the co promoter of the influential Lucid Labyrith  Festival.  Originated from Mid North coast NSW, her initial inspirations derived from her youth playgrounds at "bush raves" in the communes where they played a eclectic mix of techno electro breaks and psytrance. She Has been playing for over 10 years now in indoor n outdoor parties across Sydney QLD, VIC and New Zealand. Her diversity in style has given her the ability to be slotted into any hour and build the perfect journey for the dancefloor. 
Bringing the bpms up to max energy levels when required Reptylz is now a shapeshifting beat unit. Her styles have progressed from techno, prog, forrest, dark psy up to the high bpms 200 or die.  Often dropping some tasty well sought out unras she will encapsulate a crowd telling a story thru cheeky dark baselines and etheric ninja auditory manouvers.
