Byron Ashley, also known as Busik, embodies the essence of “Local Is Lekka” within the South African music landscape. With over 13 years of immersion in the country’s electronic music scene, he’s deeply rooted in its underground clubs and culture, now fully dedicated to the local deep house movement.

As one of the label heads and A&R executives at (Deep House South Africa), 
Byron shapes the direction of the label while curating lineups for the renowned event “Deep Town Jozi.” His talent recently earned him a residency on Metro FM’s UrbanBeat show alongside Ryan The Dj & Roxpaperscissors, further solidifying his influence in the industry.

Byron’s contributions extend beyond the decks and the studio; he is a driving force behind the growth and evolution of South Africa’s deep house scene, continually pushing boundaries and championing local talent.

Deep Under KG is deeply rooted and devoted to Deep & Dub House Music; it’s also a Podcast that shares mixtapes of various music within the genre of deep house. It has also looks at  giving artists/Dj's a platform to express themselves outside of the booth.
It was founded by 2SMAN in 2017, where he had realised that there were no activities in Kagiso that catered for an audience that enjoys the deeper side of house music. He also noticed how there aren’t enough platforms in Kagiso that will expose DJ’s/Producers to the Underground scene on a larger scale in Kagiso.
