The closing track from my debut EP 'English Summers', released in July 2021. Inspired by The Lathums and Billy Bragg, I made a real effort with the lyrics to try and paint a picture of what I was witnessing across the world. I tried to examine the 'year of protest' that 2020 was becoming, whilst highlighting the many contradictions of our national identity.
