@curawaka_official´s new release Olokun is a song for the oceans and the waters, for the mothers and the daughters. 

Olokun refers to the orisha spirit of the deep sea and ruler of all bodies of water in the Yoruba tradition of West Africa. In the Candomblé religion of Brazil, Olokun is honored as the mother of Yemanya. Anna Bariyani received the central part of the song on the day before the birth of her second daughter, while making an offering to the ocean. Calling the support of the ladies of the sea - Olokun and Yemanya - in order to bless the birth her daughter, Anna also birthed the song Olokun. The recording features the vocals and an additional melody of Kathi von Koerber, Anna Bariyani´s long time close friend and mentor. Both Anna and Kathi are mothers to daughters and carry the prayer for the waters of the world. 

With this song they wish to honour the ocean as the mother of life and call upon the sacred forces of the sea to bring balance and purity to the world, so that water can flow in spiral and ensure that life blossom for all.

Lyrics and original song-icaro by Maywa in the natives language Shipibo-Conibo, from the Peruvian Amazon jungle.

A few loving words by the artist:
"The name Bobinsana comes from a sacred tree that I knew for the first time when I lived in the Peruvian jungle, sharing and learning with Shipibo women who heal with songs and plants. With love the threads have been woven in me, reborn, remembering this knowledge in me, and from my heart every day I honor this medicine through my singing, through our music with Steffen.
 
This tree has been presented several times in my path, until I recieved this song-icaro through my dreams in Guatemala. The tree was in our garden next to our window.
The plants sing to us, I listen to them through silence, as in dreams, they remind us that there are no borders between the visible and invisible world. With Steffen I shared this song-icaro, this melody, these words that I recieved in my dreams and he was just creating a track at the same time, I heard it and we realized that we were creating together from the invisible "
