Battle Against an Annoying Opponent

It's been a hot minute since I whipped up something original, so I figured, "Why not get back on that?"

So yeah, here's something that was HELLA inspired by the likes of Sonic 3!

Verdant Valley Zone - Act 1

For some reason or another, I got this song (its instrumental version, at least) stuck in my head while re-watching the infamous syndicated episodes of "The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3", and I decided to make a recreation of it.

I'll be honest: I've only ever watched, like, one or two episodes of "Captain N: The Game Master", so I had no clue there were even lyrics made for this piece of, what I thought was, background music. Nevertheless, I included them in the MIDI, which you can download here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1bq6xItXFfXrayRdNYcb9nftIOruBuODX/view

(Please be aware that the bass instrument will not sound correct if the MIDI is played back on a non-GS compliant MIDI device/the Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth)

This song was created in Domino v1.43, played back on a Roland SC-55mkII, and recorded through a Yamaha UW500 in Audacity.
