Title track from the CD "Open Doerr". In 2014, I commissioned a guitar built by master luthier Tom Doerr. After receiving the guitar (pictured), I worked through the next year to produce an instrumental CD of original tunes on this guitar as a way to pay tribute to this amazing instrument built with Lucky Strike Redwood and Cocobolo.

From the '17 CD "Autumn's Soul". Played on a Tony Vines Artisan guitar in dropped D tuning, capo #2.
In composing this tune, I definitely had the feeling of someone waiting for a loved one, not knowing if that person would arrive. Wondering, hoping......never sure. An image of a lonely train station as the setting for this uncertain and fragile moment.

Happy New Year everyone!  My first piece of the new year, A Moment in Time, is just a blip in the big picture of the universe and our life. Incomprehensible really. But everyday we experience each moment as a fully integrated part of our being. However long or short, these moments are the DNA of existence or conciousness while alive on this earth. Thank you all for a wonderful 2024 and supporting my music. It has been a very difficult year for me personally.  But musically, I believe I am writing some of my best music.  I am infinitely inspired and humbled by the extraordinary creativity I hear from your music each day, and the wonderful friends I have encountered from every part of the world! THANK YOU!  Here's to 2025!

I believe what the world needs is more songs about love for all living things and the earthly treasures around us. The power of love is magical, mysterious, and miraculous!  And, it is essential to our survival like water and the air we breathe.  I believe that through the universal language of music, love can heal, bring joy, and create an invisible chain that pulls all of us together, not apart.

A Little About Me...
I started composing 8 years ago after not touching the piano for many years. Career, raising a family and just everday life got in the way of making music. After retiring as a music teacher in the public schools, I started dreaming of playing the piano again and my years of classical training slowly came back to me. I love every genre of music, and the talent and creativity on SoundCloud has inspired me at every level.  I am very grateful to all my listeners and the gift of music in my life!

For those of you who follow me on Soundcloud, I have been experimenting with adding tracks to my piano compositions.  I create and record everything using a Yamaha 660DGX, including the instrumental tracks built into the keyboard, then I edit on my laptop using Sony Sound Forge Music Pro.  It's a simple set up, and I have lots to learn.  Thank you for listening and helping me in my musical journey!
