Figure It Out Alone

John MOuse releases his new album ‘The Goat’ via digital platforms on the 31st of July followed by a physical vinyl release on the 28th of August through Keep Me In Your Heart Records. It is preceded by the lead single ‘Le Pigeon’ at the end of this month.

When lockdown commenced John MOuse seized the opportunity to create a new album.  The concept behind The Goat, was to write, record and release a song on a weekly basis. Each song, accompanied by its own artwork was then uploaded to Bandcamp.

Social distancing meant that the music for the album was created Lincolnshire by long term collaborator Phil Pearce and then sent to John in Cardiff who worked on the lyrics and vocal melody for each track. The result is a typically idiosyncratic and heart on its sleeve, electronic pop album, heavy on spoken word content and catchy chorus hooks, these songs possess musical hints of everyone from Adian Moffat, Momus to early Pulp.

The lyrical subject matter is varied ranging from fleeing from a pigeon on urgent first single ‘Le Pigeon’ (loosely based on Suskins novella The Pigeon) with its vivid stream of consciousness and chirruping synths. To fragments of bittersweet memories, witty imagery, despair not salved by defunct technology and Anne Summers parties. 
Ten tracks were completed and are now set for official digital and physical release on Keep Me In your heart records. 

“The Goat” is John’s fifth full-length album and his first since last year’s limited digital release of The Fen Sessions and 2018’s warmly received ‘Replica Figures’  which was described as "In turns touching, hilarious and heart-breaking" by Buzz Magazine and as "powerful stuff. Rentokil wouldn’t have a clue how to deal with any of this." Louder Than War. While 2014’s ‘The Death of John MOuse’  was praised by The Line of Best Fit and its brilliant lead single ‘I was a Goalkeeper’ featured Gareth from Los Campesinos, prompted Steve Lamacq to pronounce it ‘my new favourite football song’.   

  John MOuse, real name John Davies has been described as ‘A Welsh Beck,’ under his previous incarnation JT Mouse he worked with Sweet Baboo (aka Steven Black) while in 2010 he scored a cult hit with a song about a gay romance with another duet, this time with TV presenter Steve Jones lifted from the acclaimed album ‘Humber Dogger Forties’. John MOuse has received airplay support from Huw Stephens on BBC Radio 1, Mary Anne Hobbes, Steve Lamacq, Stuart Maconie, Gideon Coe and Tom Robinson on BBC 6 Music and Adam Walton & Bethan Elfyn on BBC Radio Wales.

The first single and title track to Gamblers' upcoming debut full length album "Small World" out 9/25.

Hailing from the south-shore Long Island town of Massapequa, Gamblers have always been aware of the ever-looming influence of New York City, but they may as well be coming from another world.

The band’s upcoming debut album Small World showcases the unique perspective one develops when viewing things as both an insider and an outsider. After cutting his teeth touring with DIY alt-rock bands in high school, bandleader/producer Michael McManus spent practically every waking minute that he wasn’t in class holed up in his Hunter College dorm room crafting the unique hip hop production style that paved the way for collaborations with Meek Mill and Heems, as well as musical contributions to Anthony Bourdain’s Parts Unknown and Viceland’s Gaycation.

With Gamblers, McManus marries the beat-making sensibility of hip hop to the songcraft and jamming-in-a-room spirit of an indie rock band. Even in its brightest moments, Small World is replete with references to addiction, mental illness, corruption and violence, with cutting insights always lurking in the shadows between McManus’ seemingly innocuous wordplay.

With one ear to the pulse of Long Island’s trash-strewn cultural landscape and the other focused on the human condition itself, McManus tucks his layers of meaning into lyrics that at first glance appear rather straightforward. The band’s sunny hooks may evoke The Beach Boys, but much darker things tend to wash up on the south shore, much as they do on the shores of our own conscience.

I Dynamite 36, giovanissima band Toscana sia di composizione che di età.
Partiti come tutti con brani cover di artisti già affermati dove il loro genere si inclina a tendenze Pop Rock, da apprezzare la loro evoluzione musicale in poco tempo( 30 giugno 2020 data del loro primo anno insieme). Il loro percorso artistico è nato sui banchi di scuola del Liceo Musicale Polo Bianciardi di Grosseto, dove Tommaso ( Vocalist) ha messo insieme i vari componenti del gruppo. Dopo alcune serate dal vivo, tra cui un’esperienza anche all’estero (Olanda ,Amsterdam)si sono concentrati sulla composizione del loro primo singolo inedito “ LA RAGAZZA DEL CAMPO”uscita il 26 luglio del 2020. Il lungo periodo pandemico non ha aiutato i giovani musicisti ma sempre con entusiasmo nell’estate del 2021 hanno partecipato a vari concorsi regionali e nazionali : “ Festival Summer Star”(Brescia) miglior performance live, “Dilettando”( Grosseto ) vincitori del talent, “ Musica è “ (Roma) miglior esibizione live, “ Cantagiro” finale nazionale Tivoli, menzione speciale come miglior band giovanile e secondi classificati nella categoria band.Con passione continuano con i loro live e a giugno del 2022 pubblicano il loro secondo inedito “OGNI NOTTE”.Settembre 2022 dopo varie selezioni superate online ed un Pre Casting dal vivo a Milano debuttano in TV su Sky uno alle fasi delle audizioni di XFACTOR.
La loro voglia di far musica e di acquisire esperienza non ha fine e con enorme piacere Novembre 2022 partecipano ad AREA SANREMO.Dopo varie audizioni con più di 600 candidati entrano in finale e vincono AREASANREMO entrando nei migliori 20 artisti emergenti della musica italiana selezionati dalla stessa commissione del concorso con a capo il direttore artistico Amadeus.
I DYNAMITE 36 sono : alla tastiera Raffaele Faralla ( 18 anni), basso Niccolò Governi ( 22 anni ), Chitarra Francesco Bezzini ( 18 anni ) ,batteria Nicola Giomi ( 18 anni ) e voce Tommaso Ninci ( 19 anni ) tutti i componenti sono polistrumentisti.
