Musie Seattle-based recording artist who practices life with a contagious passion, surrounding himself with a group of longtime friends and serving as a leader to the youth he coaches in private sessions and team sports. His playful disposition and earnest positivity reverberates throughout his music, influencing his diverse range of sounds and uplifting lyrics. 

Watching Michael Jackson’s videos as a child served as the initial catalyst for Musie to start creating. Observing how the King of Pop’s entertainment style and choreography brought audiences into the story behind each song inspired Musie to create with the ultimate goal of connecting with listeners and making them feel as if they are in the same room. Each song he writes is intended to tell a personal story that resonates with others, allowing them to feel connected with their own emotions and with the artist as they are being given access into moments in his life. Later, Musie was introduced to inspirators such as Kid Cudi, Wiz Khalifa, and Andre 300, and found he identified with the art of mixing rapping with singing. Musie’s music illustrates these varied influences and can be classified as new age hip hop and melodic rap, including both party mixes and more poetic tracks.

The October 2016 release of his first mixtape entitled ‘Blue Heron Estates’ showcases a compilation of his work over the past couple years. From colorful, conscious music, like ‘New Shit’ to laid-back, bright tunes like ‘Jeray,’ his multidimensional songwriting and vocal skills are a breath of fresh air for hip hop fans.

HoBG is a label and production company started by Phillip A. Peterson, a Grammy nominated and Telly award-winning film, radio, television, and commercial composer, orchestrator and producer with multiple Platinum and Gold Records. He has composed music for Seattle Symphony, PBS, Amazon, Microsoft, Hey Marseilles, as well as scoring several independent films.

Peterson also arranged and played on several Nada Surf records, leading to performances on The Conan O’Brien Show, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and Last Call with Carson Daly. He has also shared the stage with BB King, Kenny Loggins, Al Green, The O’Jays, LeAnn Rimes, Heart, Yes, Blues Traveler, Taj Majal, Mavis Staples, Queensrÿche and the Temptations.

In 2014 Phillip finished production of Big In Japan The Movie, featuring his band Tennis Pro , including his original soundtrack, which screened in festivals around the world including SXSW, Bend, Victoria, Sarasota, Napa, CBGB, Sayulita (Mexico), Bahamas, San Luis Obispo, Mar Del Plata (Argentina), Portland Independent, and the Seattle International Film Festivals.

Briel is a 21-year-old alternative pop singer-songwriter from the small town of Enumclaw, Washington. In December 2016, she signed a recording contract with HoBG Records, an independent label out of Seattle started by the accomplished and recognized Phillip Peterson. 
     She has been writing songs and making music since she was 12, and is excited to have her music reach more fans. She is inspired by artists such as Lana Del Rey, Broods, Banks, London Grammar, and Tori Kelly. Briel's goal is to truly touch lives with her music.
     In 2015, Briel released her first EP Briel, with her first single "Perfect Nightmare" getting rave regional reviews, making her one of the featured artists on ReverbNation. Last year she released her second EP Poison followed by five new singles, as well as putting out her first official video for the title track (see above).  She is currently collaborating with other artists and loves working with such talented individuals.
