New music comes forth in the form of Thiago Pery & Greekboy, with this fantastic example of soulful drum & bass straight from the heart of Brazil.
Released this month on Birmingham’s own Rotation music UK, the duo bring a flash of summer to our drizzly streets, with a sound more akin to the Sardinian drum & bass festival ‘Sun & Bass’ than any British-borne collaboration. The bouncy drum & bass you might remember from the 3am blur of last week’s clubbing is nowhere to be seen; here are crystal-clear strings and synth sounds – a far cry from the ‘noise’ your mom recalls assaulting her from your bedroom when you were a yout.
If you want to check out a little more about the Brazilians, Thiago Pery teamed up with none other than LTJ Bukem for a Fabric live promo mix back in 2014 (which I remember vividly as my first time down in the labyrinthine club that is Fabric).

These two are prolific producers in their own rights, with music currently being released on a host of other labels, from jump-up label Rolling Beat Records through to the Stateside Asheville label Stepping Forward Records.

There’s an art to creating a balanced feel when blending different styles and sounds of music together and Satl has mastered this with his latest release on Fizzy Beats.
