There is little overlap between them, mostly between: *

* Increasingly there is some overlap between "Calm & Steady" and "Funky-Dub-Trap", and between a bunch of others (Dark, Minimal, ...). I'm trying to keep it to the minimum, the overlap, tracks finding themselves in more than one playlist.

Ultimae proudly presents "Hereafter", a collection of past and present works by Mihalis Aikaterinis aka MIKTEK to which the Greek composer desired to give a second breath and offer a new dive into his deep musical world. All tracks were carefully chosen, revisited, reedited, recorded live, remastered and assembled with two unreleased ones to create a smooth melancholic journey.

Washed out blissful pads and slow idm rhythms are to be expected as the foundation of this release. From the warm ambient vibe of Dawsonia to the dubbed out landscapes of Omniprescence and the glitchy rhythms of Atmosphere of Neglect, Mihalis cruises through multiple electronic territories while keeping a coherent sound along the way. 

Sometimes reassuring, sometimes dark, but always captivating, these pieces feel like a never ending ascent to the lights above.
During the troubled times we're experimenting, "Hereafter" resonates with a touching singularity. While the title might evoke dismal images, what we hear is an invitation to look farther than anything else, farther than our present times, to journey to clearer skies and quieter waters.

Release Info :

Treating Woodwork to the ultimate smooth experience in pure electronic fusion, Paul Blackford touches down again with a brilliant new LP entitled Night Shift. From electro, lo fi hip hop, nu jazz, and modern downtempo with retro flair, this collection touches many bases with that same authenticity present in everything Paul Blackford produces. 

     A mid-tempo, laid back mood is established from the first notes of 'Affogato' and resurfaces in 'New Jack City'. Lush jazz-tinged progressions form around synthetic stabs and chord pads, enhanced by carefully constructed melodic hooks crafted in an elegant and minimal fashion. The beats and bass draw heavily from Paul's legacy of hip hop and electro production. 'Esprit' resets the LP mid way through with this same elated feel, while 'Smooth My Soul' closes the album neatly with an appropriate coda, leaving a distinct craving to replay the whole album from the top. 

     Weaving through the yearning vibe of the constant mid-tempo ride, are a few pleasant diversions, first in the form of 'Sheltered', an upbeat pensive track with beautifully placed chord hits and a hooky infectious bass line. 'Night Shift' incorporates a smooth, slow, swaying motion beautifully suited to a spacious and spotty bass groove, punctuated by a busier, kick-heavy beat. 

     'The Theme From Dr. Electro Fingers' crosses into a momentary sci-fi electro realm. While continuing the lush, melodic approach of the LP, this one is decidedly more retro, hitting an 80s stride perfectly while adding a mysterious sonic element to its catchy synth melodies. 

     'Tempest' sounds a romantic note with its step-wise chord change, cascading synth motif, and funky bass line. Steady 16th note hats and 8-bit sample fx keep an upbeat feel throughout this downtempo excursion. 

     With a distinct sound and feel, this LP connects in parallel worlds with a strong recognition for electronic fusion music of past decades, while placing those elements firmly in the present moment. Paul Blackford is a producer that knows how to make every moment in every composition speak clearly with elegance and relevance.

It´s hard for me to put myself out there. For me it´s all about expression. That´s why I´m so into art and I love embracing every aspect of it.
But over the last months I felt disappointed with myself and I couldn´t be creative at all which kinda made everything worse. I wasn´t really happy with my output and music didn´t satisfied me anymore.
Through my whole journey of doing music and putting it out there I always was kinda shy and overly perfectionistic with my output. I have 700+ projects on my laptop and so many emotions that I was too shy to share.
I realised that I created all those rules for how I want to make my art sound or look like and how I think society will accept me. It put me in a cage which killed the vibe. I want to release what ever I want and it´s cool when not everyone likes it. Getting to the point where I can feel completely free with not just putting art online but also myself.
I´m really not the type of guy that talks big on the internet and likes to put himself out there. But it´s all about expression and I want to change that. 
I want to be more direct with expiriences, feelings and my life in general and I want to share more of the stuff I tried to hide for so long. 
Noticing all this wasted creativity and potential really bothers me. Don´t be shy. Express yourself and you´re inner feelings with whatever makes you happy.
Big shout out to @osayaosaya (who helped me with this track) and @moodrich. They´re giving me so much energy to proceed. I love you guys. <3

Israel is only the executioner, every nation which has armed that country in the past year is an accessory to that genocide, an accomplice, a facilitator.  We cannot talk about war crimes because when you target unarmed civilians, mostly women and children, we are talking about a massacre, like terrorists do, not a war. The people who orchestrated that massacre, in the US, the most duplicitous, followed by those of the UK, Germany, France, and probably a few lesser ones should be tried for crimes against humanity just as well as Netanyahu and his cabinet, because it has been going on for two years, generously reported by media of all kinds, so the enablers knew exactly how the arms were to be used, as a tool for revenge, domination, and humiliation of the Palestinian people.  The conflict has ceased to be about the defense of anything for months.

The parties responsible have made a mockery of decency, morals, fairness, proportion, or justice, not to mention empathy.  Of what little there was, these concepts will be a lot longer to come back than they were to be struck down.

I have not been able to recover access to my other account [https://soundcloud.com/ha-kekong] for a couple of years.  I have tried a few times to get back into it but SoundCloud doesn't trust me.  Same phone number, same email addresses, and they still claim that they can't verify my identity.  I created that account about three years ago as a substitute to my regular account which SoundCloud temporarily closed.  They closed it as part of some upgrade procedure in their system, the result of a bug that affected many accounts, about two years ago.  Since SC did not inform its users I didn't know if that was permanent or not, so I created that other account which I can't access. No it's not Gibraltar, but a little bit further West. ... Actually I checked recently and it is further North more than West, I thought I was facing South when in fact I probably was facing the Atlantic ocean, which is why I suppose the waves were of a decent size where we were.
