Dub Train Express

I’m always on the hunt for vintage, psychedelic tracks.
This one — if I had to put it into words — carries a faint trace of the ‘80s. But it’s not about nostalgia.
It’s rooted in my love for dub, layered over breakbeats with a post-rock spirit, and driven by a sharp electronic edge.

It’s like New Order suddenly crashing into a session, and the Bristol crew getting into a brawl right then and there.
Chaotic, yes — but a chaos with intent. Noise with direction.

My music is instrumental. I don’t use vocals.
That doesn’t mean I don’t respect them — on the contrary, I hold vocalists and lyricists in the highest regard.
But the story I want to tell doesn’t need words.
I speak through melodies, I scream through beats, and I question through silence.
That’s my form of storytelling.

I know this track might not be easy to grasp right away.
But if you’re into krautrock, post-rock, alternative, hip-hop, IDM, or experimental electronic music —
you just might find something in it that resonates with you.

I’m Japanese.
And I believe there’s something compelling about how a Japanese mind interprets psychedelic sound.
Maybe not as wildly unhinged as Damo Suzuki’s work with Can,
but this is my own vision of a sonic trip — one that’s more grounded, yet still deeply exploratory.

The result is this track,
ironically named — Classy Slang.

If you give it a listen, I’d be honored.
Come take a journey through my world, told entirely through sound.

The shadow of UK new wave, the depth of roots dub.
Guitar filtered through Tommy Guerrero, broken beats from IDM.
The origin: hip-hop. The destination: undefined.

Progressing like post-rock, sinking into lo-fi.
A quiet homage to New Order, Boards of Canada, and Madlib.

Lullaby is a meditative instrumental track created in collaboration with Denys Balykhin (handpan).
Soft handpan rhythms are layered with bass clarinet, kalimba, and soprano saxophone, creating an atmosphere of warmth and inner calm.
Recorded in Lisbon, 2025.

Lemon Schaden, a dedicated member of the ÖND collective based in Rennes, is known for blending delicate house textures with aggressive hardcore rhythms. His productions balance contrasting energies, creating a dynamic yet cohesive sound. Soon to arrive via the French imprint Armen Crew, his latest parcel, “April Flowers,” showcases four originals that further explore this signature style. The release demonstrates his ability to merge genres fluidly, offering listeners a journey through nuanced electronic landscapes.

Premiered here, the title track exemplifies Schaden’s skill in crafting intricate IDM-inspired compositions. Breakbeat patterns intertwine with deep basslines, while fragmented vocal snippets and warped effects add layers of tension. The result is playful yet ominous, a piece that dances between lightness and intensity. With this EP, Schaden continues to refine his approach, delivering a compelling mix of melody and grit that lingers in the mind.

I have not been able to recover access to my other account [https://soundcloud.com/ha-kekong] for a couple of years.  I have tried a few times to get back into it but SoundCloud doesn't trust me.  Same phone number, same email addresses, and they still claim that they can't verify my identity.  I created that account about three years ago as a substitute to my regular account which SoundCloud temporarily closed.  They closed it as part of some upgrade procedure in their system, the result of a bug that affected many accounts, about two years ago.  Since SC did not inform its users I didn't know if that was permanent or not, so I created that other account which I can't access.  Don't be mad if I have not replied to your message in the past two years, that's because I never got them ; ) ... You can always reach me here though.

You can't see it because of the angle with which I took the shot, aiming down, but beyond those blocks is the sea.  To the left is the Mediterranean, to the right is the Atlantic Ocean.  No it's not Gibraltar, but a little bit further West. ... Actually I checked recently and it is further North more than West, I thought I was facing South when in fact I probably was facing the Atlantic ocean, which is why I suppose the waves were of a decent size where we were.
