Billy T. Kanova is a Swiss-French sound artist who hails from Geneva, Switzerland. First released in 2008 on the label High Contrast Nu Breed, Billy T. Kanova initiated a collective experience named “BAKED” that started in 2018 as an intimate and free after-party hosted privately in his music studio in Geneva. As a result, BAKED enables new talents to emerge as DJs and music producers. It has now grown into an active ongoing family-like community that promotes artists and electronic-music live events.

Peter Glen: Lunar Progressive #004

For my first show back at Mala Santa (formerly Club Planeta) since before the pandemic, I was given another extended opportunity to curate the night from ground zero. There's always something special about playing that first track to only the staff (+Brandon) before the night eventually gives way to the sold out chaos.

Kicking off the night to those staff members and extra-supportive friends arriving at doors, I started off this set particularly deep, upping the energy until I noticed the Anjuna faithful were packing out the venue particularly early. Right around the hour mark the challenge pivoted from deep-builder to convincing the crowd to migrate from the bars and high tops to the dancefloor. Here's the recording of that journey, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did on the night :)

JFUN is the DJ/production project of Jordan David. His musical output combines funky rhythms and four on the floor beats that create a moving celebration of sound while playing a wide range of sonic soundscapes that resonate with the human soul.

JFUN has established a name for himself in his hometown Ottawa, Canada as a DJ, producer, performer, curator and general force of nature that displays a consistent growth and musical evolution. As both a DJ and a musician, JFUN has developed a unique sound, style and connection to the groove over many years of performing in DIY spaces, night clubs, galleries and festival stages. Sharing bills with international acts such as DJ Sneak, Niko Schwind, Djuma Soundsystem, Ollie K and local heavyweights such as Trevor Walker, Rick Laplante, BALU, Martin Villeneuve, Blake Sutherland, The TIMEKODE Crew, Jesse Zotti, Return of the Jaded and Rise Ashen just to name a few.

JFUN has embraced his ability to transfer a refined melodic and rhythmic perspective that captivates listeners and also lights up a dance floor. He has also managed to cultivate a path for his artistic expression that is taking form as he progresses on his musical journey. This being the result of a deep passion and love for dance music culture and community that is undeniable.

JFUN is currently focused producing his debut premiere mix series, ‘DIVISION’ which features a range of dance music from producers from around the world. He is also spending much time in his home studio exploring and crafting new sounds while also curating upcoming releases on his imprint: Music.Art.Ppl, a music, art and poetry label / collective that he co-founded alongside creative peers in Ottawa, Canada.

Based in Leicestershire England, Nick's passion for underground music started in the early 90's from attending & DJ'ing local events. At this time Nick was going by the name of "DJ Joker" playing a diverse range of music from Hardcore, Drum & Bass to Techno, inspried by Carl Cox, Dave Clarke, Grooverider, Sasha, Dave Seaman, this propelled him to play along side some high profile names, Kenny Ken, Pilgrim, RatPack, Slipmatt. The Transition from playing the harder side of underground music to House & Progressive House took place around 95/96 and saw him rewarded with a regular slot at one of the UK Super club's - Passion, here is where Nick curated a sound of atmospheric driving progressive house sounds that has stayed with him and is a core value of his productions today. Luca Lacroix Nacido en 1996. Desde muy pequeño escuchaba música electrónica, fue asi cuando a los 17 años comenzó a mezclar influenciado por artistas de Progressive House como Marc Marzenit, Henry Saiz, Stephan Bodzin y Soul Button entre otros. A los 18 años se unio con [DTR] y comenzó a desarrollar un estilo mas oscuro, desempeñándose en el Ethereal Techno. A su misma edad hizo su primera fiesta progressive en la ciudad, la cual tuvo una gran repercusión, por lo que siguió organizando eventos para hacer crecer tal género.
Tiempo después se mudo a Buenos Aires para estudiar produccion Músical en la academia  "Arjaus".
Su sonido es en una mezcla entre el Progressive House y el Ethereal Techno. A través de ella busca generar una atmósfera progresiva con sonidos explosivos del techno, que brinden la sensación de un clima cálido y eufórico al mismo tiempo.

Bio:
Adrinalin currently lives in Kiel. Since childhood he developed a keen interest in music. He had his first mixer when he was 8 years old. Then he began to play the drums intensively and toured Europe with 2 bands. In his modest home studio, he created small tech house or drum and bass tracks in addition to the band's recordings. He has developed a great love for Ableton Live for the past 7 years and now produces new songs every day. At the weekend he spends a lot of time in the Kiel techno scene, where he meets many of his friends.

Still can't get over the magic that happened last weekend... one of the most beautiful, special and unique experiences of my entire career. The energy, the vibe and the amount of love and happiness shared on the dance floor was absolutely magical. There's no word powerful enough that can describe how grateful I am to have had the opportunity to play for all of you this past Sunday. I'm going to remember this night (and weekend) for the rest of my life!

I have not been able to recover access to my other account [https://soundcloud.com/ha-kekong] for a couple of years.  I have tried a few times to get back into it but SoundCloud doesn't trust me.  Same phone number, same email addresses, and they still claim that they can't verify my identity.  I created that account about three years ago as a substitute to my regular account which SoundCloud temporarily closed.  They closed it as part of some upgrade procedure in their system, the result of a bug that affected many accounts, about two years ago.  Since SC did not inform its users I didn't know if that was permanent or not, so I created that other account which I can't access.  Don't be mad if I have not replied to your message in the past two years, that's because I never got them ; ) ... You can always reach me here though.

No it's not Gibraltar, but a little bit further West. ... Actually I checked recently and it is further North more than West, I thought I was facing South when in fact I probably was facing the Atlantic ocean, which is why I suppose the waves were of a decent size where we were.
