A song that shares the experience of coming together with family. In
2012 I was blessed to walk on the land that was the plantation Hickory Hill with my white cousin Lisa Wickham Haskell, descendant of Williams Carter Wickham who had 5 children with one of his slaves, Bibhanna, of whom I am a descendant.  That day that started a new life journey for us both and other family members as well. The ongoing potential of our dialogue and friendship gives hope that the ghosts of our
national past might one day find rest in truth and new beginnings.

My lifelong musical career began at age 8, with classical piano studies.  At 16, I started 5 string folk banjo and within a year was teaching.  As a singer songwriter I toured internationally nationally in the musical duo Sweet Rose Revue. Have offered literally thousands of music programs for very young children, family and adult audiences. I love writing and recording original short stories with music, narrating audio books, teaching piano virtually and in person, and recording Customized Personal Affirmations.
