Today’s treat is an interview with Michele Gettins. Michele isn’t just a legend who’s managed to pull marketing up to its rightful place in the boardroom - she’s also my former boss! So I am well aware of her passion, her drive, and the pride she takes in her job.

She’s also a warm and friendly person, which makes her wonderful to work for and brilliant to interview.

Currently, Michele is the Chief Marketing Officer for Iamproperty. She’s worked wonders in the Iamproperty marketing department, and has achieved the dream of pretty much every corporate marketer - she sits on the board. 

We all know that marketing is generally undervalued and misunderstood - so how has Michele managed to convince Iamproperty that marketing deserves a place on the board? Today, it is an honour and a pleasure to share an interview with Sara Meikle, Senior Loyalty Officer at Action for Children. She’s a highly skilled digital marketer, with a passion for charity. She’s been influential in driving Action For Children’s growth through brilliantly curated campaigns and some very clever strategising.

Sara was kind enough to share a case study for my book. In it, she explains her award-winning ‘Boycott Your Bed’ campaign, and how it managed to run successfully despite the C-19 pandemic. We’ll be discussing this incredible campaign in the interview, along with such diverse topics as the importance of testing, how to convince your boss to take a chance on your tactics, and why the customer doesn’t care about their journey.

As CEO of IMG, Steve helps brands to grow through precise, skilled, marketing. His background is in tech, which (as you’ll learn in the interview!) has given him a fantastic advantage in his career.
