About BestPearl
A multi lingual composer, artist, show host and model, Cathlyn (aka Bestpearl, meaning of her Korean name - Won Kyung) can be described as an ‘All-in-One’ artist whose music appeals to a diverse range of audience of different nationalities, cultures and generations. A Korean by nationality, Cathlyn was born in Saigon, Vietnam on August 5, 1968. In 1974, her family moved to Brunei in 1974 where she lived and grew up for 12 years.

The first English song that inspired and opened up Cathlyn’s musical ears and passion for music was Karen Carpenter’s “Yesterday once more” which she heard on the radio at aged 7. Then when she saw a young child playing electric organ on TV a few months later, she begged her parents to let her take organ lessons, which she started learning and continued to play till she was 15. 

At age 10, her first debut as a performer was on a live children’s talent show, “Bintang Brunei” at Radio Television Brunei, where she played electric organ in 3 shows. 3 years later, Cathlyn was invited by Radio Television Brunei’s Entertainment Director/Producer and Choreographer, Royston Goh to perform as a singer, dancer and fashion model for his TV shows as well as private events for the royal family for 4 years.

At the same time, Cathlyn joined a local 6 member band called “The Masters” as a lead vocalist and keyboard player, performing for local TV and Radio shows. She continued to work with Royston as a model and dancer in his shows until 1985 when she moved to Korea to further her studies.

In Korea, Cathlyn joined and sang as a soprano in the church choir for 15 years before moving to San Diego in March of 2000.

Inspired by her husband Eric, also a DJ and TV/Film Producer, Cathlyn decided to pursue her career in music and started composing her own music in 2006, focusing on World, pop and dance music for Film/TV and Commercial.

Cathlyn’s refreshing sound, with a twist of pop, jazz, inspirational and classic, incorporates the electronic dance music style and rhythms which she got to learn and inspired by her husband Eric. She has the ability to produce music and sing in a wide range of notes, rhythms and genre, incorporating the different styles of music that she grew up with and loves.

Cathlyn is currently DJing at private events while collaborating with several DJs and music producers to remix her original songs and composing her own music in her free time.

Dima Kash is a Russian born rapper, songwriter, artist, studio owner, who immigrated to the USA at an early age. Growing up with old fashioned Russian parents, he had to learn how to earn everything on his own at a young age. Always getting in trouble and dealing with issues in and outside of school, the home, and life altogether, music became a getaway. He turned his getaway into a hobby as he started to write songs, mostly love songs. When he turned 16 he started recording his songs. The style had switched up a lot since he first started writing, hip-hop and rap started to become more of an interest. With a lot of mistakes being made throughout his life and his early music stage, all he could do is learn from it and improve. So he did. He got out of boot camp, got his own place at the age of 17 and started working 72 hours a week, while also recording his music. In the midst of a hectic lifestyle, a few years later he was blessed with having a son. Vlad .That is when his life changed, and he realized that he needed to become the best man a father can be for his son. With hard work and dedication he finally quit his job, started a business by the name of World Class Entertainment. He started pursuing what he truly loved, MUSIC. He got his own professional studio, and focused on his music full time. With every song this young man records he gets better. Hoping to make an impact, he is striving for success and nothing less. He has been on a national tour with Grammy Award winner Layzie Bone. He has opened up for numerous national acts including 2 Chainz, T.I., Lil Boosie, MGK, Kid Ink, Bone Thugs N Harmony, Twista, and many more. As well as performing on an International Tour in Japan, he also performed on a showcase at the SXSW Music Festival in 2015. Be on watch, because at this rate, with the work ethic and motivation that he has, he will be a household name in no time. “From Russia to the Midwest of the US”. His style is original, versatile, creative, poetic, and for god sakes he can also rap in Russian and is fluent in the language….Tour in Russia maybe??!! Bottom line this kid is destined for greatness, and nothing will stand in his way.   France based artist Gnaia, started to produce music in the early 1994.
    After djing for some years, he finally decided to create his own sound. His first track recorded was "Gn aia - that's impakt", released in 1997 on "aphrodiziak". Untill now Gnaia has released  many singles .
    In 2009 , The album "Cinematik Funk" was released on Autonome Records and was a Surprising mixture of trance, Drum and bass,  jazz & hip-hop,  As well as  the very jungle directed piece "Audio architecture" released in 2007.                                                      
Since his debuts he surprises by  eclecticism and work on various instrumentals & electronic projects .
     Very inspired by  world music, these productions incorporate psychedelic rhythm, voice,orientals & ethnic instruments.                                                
   With " Harmony for Mecha", release in 2012,  he invites us to a  meditative project, hypnotic, where every sound resounds such a mantra, rocked by a progressive atmosphere, psychedelic, down-tempo, trip-hop & ambient: sometimes crowned, sometimes New Age...
      We can also find him on very dancefloor "Sound Of Nauzica"  in 2011 , "Nahual" in 2013 and "trans di gurun" in 2014, mixture of techno psychedelic, psygressive and tribal trance music.. very groovy, where psychedelic rhythms, tribal and goa, meet to take us towards an envoutante energy, which invites in  release grip and in trance.                              
    He makes left of the french label  Oréades Prod  and other association
On which,  we can find programmings mixing ethnic and instrumental electronic music In association with other artists.
