I like to spin a vibe, that makes ya toes tap, unfurls a cheeky grin, and makes ya heart sing ;)
Experiencing the resonance.. the essence.. journey amongst the living forest.. an out of body, soulful expansion of the mind, spirit and soul.

I am an independent sound balance engineer.... 

In other words I experiment with sounds; treating the method I use to make the sound as an integral part of that sound.

I use electronic elements, but I am much more interested in using analogue material as the basis for my work. 

Reverb recorded in a passage hall, field recordings of a train's brakes; sure they've all been done, but how can I use the tools of sound design to inspect and bring these elements together to engage with them in a new way, a new experience of these sounds.

While I am not afraid of lo-fi sounds, I am always working towards well balanced audibility that presents the listener with a true-to-source experience of the sound.

Originally imagined as the personification of a milkshake headache, Violet Eve first appeared as an insano purple being of indeterminate species with a slow-witted yet optimistic demeanour and a bright smile. One of Adelaide's most recognisable characters, Violet Eve is known for her Cheshire Cat-like smile and budding taste in thick and juicy tunes. 

South Australian born and bred, Violet Eve has dedicated her life to music, transforming from dancer to DJ in 2017 to pursue her love of Psytrance. After winning earthcore's Smash the Mainfloor DJ competition in 2018 she has ignited dancefloors across Australia & New Zealand and is a returning artist at Esoteric Festival.

Lee E has been involved in the music scene for decades; DJ'ing events worldwide - from pulsating energetic sets to hypnotic happy vibes, he intuitively creates happily immersed dance floors.
Born in London and growing up on the seminal late 90’s underground dance floors, in 2002 he set off exploring the world, before settling in with South Island party crews. 
Now based in Auckland, he is recognised for his unique style of progressive hypnotic house & techno with a psychedelic edge - always a step ahead of the dancefloor and ready to lead them towards the next particularly good time.
Pouring full energy into his sets, Lee E is at his happiest seeing the groove he loves take over the dancefloor and is renowned for spinning a mischievous audio journey.

Ferksta (AUM)
Fat, chunky, emotive, and progressive music with a psychedelic twist defines Ferksta’s sound. Expect lush organic soundscapes and atmospheric journeys intertwined with driving basslines, a style characterised by blind “that'll do” track selections and a madman’s approach to pancake layering of tracks. Ferksta is known for his quirky personality, rainbow coloured clothing and crushed velvet shorts. They’re really soft to the touch. Confused yet? If you’re planning to be in front of the speakers when he plays, buckle up. It’s going to get weird.

A recognizable figure in our local dance industry as the creator and co-owner of AUM Festival, and the legendary Velvet parties, and playing music for over 300 years. Had to read that bit again didn't you?
