Slow Mo Lounge and its founder, Kongisto, are back with another global mixtape collab. It's the 2nd global mixtape series collab for 2024 and this time it features Razor-N-Tape co-founder plus DJ, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, the one and only, Brooklyn, USA's JKriv.

With a professional musical career stretching nearly two decades, JKriv has gained serious musical attention for his original productions and inspired DJ sets. He was even called ‘an innovator of the scene’ by Defected Records boss, Simon Dunmore.

JKriv’s production credits include releases and remixes on Z Records, Soundway Records, Heist, Razor-N-Tape, Glitterbox and Favourite Records, to name a few.

JKriv plays the first 1h30 minutes, and Kongisto plays the rest. Love from the USA, and Diepkloof, Soweto in South Africa 🇺🇸🇿🇦

A 4.5-hour ride recorded live in Ibiza, starting slow and easy as the sun dips, then drifting into deeper grooves as night takes over. Expect a bit of everything — Balearic, dubby bits, global rhythms, cosmic synths, and whatever else felt right in the moment.

Recorded live poolside at Pikes Hotel Ibiza on June 24th 2025. I played 3 hours from late afternoon into early evening on a very very hot day !  
First 45 minutes was all styles before settling at 100 bpm (ish) for the rest of the session.
The whole 13 hour day was amazing with superb sessions from DJ Gripper, Legendary Italian producer Don Carlos, Ibiza overlord Andy Wilson, and ace DJ and producer Willie Graff.

Roberto Lodola is an Italian DJ, composer, and record producer. His career began at the Mondo Blu disco in Busseto (Parma) in 1982. He is certainly one of the leading famous DJ’s and promoters of a music genre called "Afro-Funky-Cosmic," a blend of various musical styles such as Electronic, Afrobeat, Funky, Disco, Brazilian, Balearic Sound, Jazz Fusion, Rare Groove, Oriental, Reggae, etc. His search for records is continuous and ever-evolving, always staying attuned to new trends and releases that align with his style. 

Since the early '80s, he has been involved in and later organized major events called "Afroraduni," DJ meetings that attracted up to 4000/5000 people to dance to this alternative music, foreshadowing the Rave Party scene but with different musical genres. These experiences led him in the ‘90s to the full management of several dance clubs and the artistic direction of various events and clubs, which he continues to do to this day.

In 1983, he began a collaboration with African percussionist George Aghedo, who played his magical percussion instruments in DJ sets at the Futura disco in Parma. This collaboration resulted in several successful record productions, such as "Zanzibar Helen" in 1985, which became the theme song for a TV program on Canale 5, and "Marimba do Mar" in 1986, a classic hit of Balearic Sound.

Starting in 1983, he introduced synthesizers and electronic drums into his sessions, and from 1987, he also incorporated a sampler to create live arrangements and remixes for the dance floor. It was with these technologies that "African Rhythms" was born, released under the pseudonym "Rhythm Factory" in 1991. This production achieved great success in the UK, with the version "A Touch of Jazz" catching the attention of Gilles Peterson and climbing high on the Acid Jazz charts. In 2005, the track was featured on two prestigious international compilations: the French "Saint Germain des Prés Cafe' vol.7" on the Wagram label (Buddha Bar) and the London-based "Get this party started!" on "Expansion," alongside names like James Brown, Marvin Gaye, Michael Bublé, and Fatback Band.

In the early '90s, his relentless musical exploration led him to innovate across the "Afro Funky-Alternative Sound" spectrum. Consequently, he began presenting tracks with more modern sounds, always in line with his style. As a devoted fan of Brazilian music, he introduced the emerging "Samba Reggae/Axe," creating a distinct trend that influenced the new wave of alternative Italian clubs with a "New Afro Style-Ethno Beat-World Music" sound.

Since 2008, he has embarked on the "One-Night 70 No Limit" project dedicated to Funky, Obscure Disco, Nu Disco, and Rare Groove music, which continues to enjoy tremendous success at Le Ruote Disco Club.

Since 2016, he has shared the "Trittico" One-Night with Daniele Baldelli, dedicated to three legendary '80s venues: Cosmic, Futura, and Baia Degli Angeli.

Since 2021, he relocated his summer residence to Ibiza, bringing his eclectic and modern DJ sets to venues such as Pikes, Kumharas, Space, Malanga, EsXiringuito, Nagai Ibiza, Pacha (Funky Room), Sunset Ashram, The Standard, Raco Verd, Mesa Ibiza, Chirincana, Homies party at Pikes Ibiza, Casa Bonay Barcelona, Playasol Ibiza Radio, Ibiza Sonica and Ibiza Global Radio. His Balearic residency has also inspired numerous new productions, with over 25 new songs in the last two years. Today, he boasts a presence in over 300 clubs across Italy and Europe.

Roberto Lodola's career exemplifies his dedication to music exploration and innovation, cementing his status as a prominent figure in the world of electronic music and DJ culture.
