Peacey’s relationship with music began early. Introduced to vinyl in the 1980s by his late uncle, he was immediately drawn to the physicality and ritual of records. That first exposure set off a chain reaction that would shape a lifelong journey through DJing, production, and musical collaboration.

Raised in a deeply musical family, Peacey was surrounded by sound from a young age. His grandfather, a respected church organist, left a lasting imprint. Long before computers entered the picture, Peacey was experimenting with rhythm and melody by programming drum patterns and arpeggiated sounds on the organ. Those early experiences laid the groundwork for a strong connection to instruments, groove, and musical structure that continues to define his work.

By the early 1990s, his musical focus expanded into Jungle, Hip Hop, and later UK Garage. A formative encounter with turntables sparked a serious commitment to DJing. What followed was nearly three decades behind the decks, with 28 years of DJ experience and a prolific run of residencies across the East Midlands. Peacey became known for his musical range, crowd awareness, and ability to connect genres without forcing the blend.
Radio also played a major role. Over the years, he was involved with numerous pirate and community radio stations, sharpening both his musical identity and broadcasting presence. This later evolved into hosting the ARCo. radio show on Mi-Soul London, where he spent several years curating and presenting deep, soulful, and forward-thinking music to a wider audience.

A key chapter in Peacey’s journey was his long-standing DJ partnership with Scott Thompson. Together, they built a strong local reputation and began making music in the early 2000s, producing edits and unofficial remixes specifically for their DJ sets. These versions consistently landed with crowds and became a crucial bridge between DJing and production, reinforcing the idea that music should be functional, emotional, and tested in real rooms.

Production became a natural extension of that mindset. With strong technical instincts, a deep affinity for analogue synthesis, and long-term mentorship from Martin Iveson (Atjazz), Peacey developed a sound rooted in musicality, detail, and groove. His work spans house, broken beats, hip hop, soul, garage, and jazz-inflected electronics. Alongside original material, he has delivered remixes for artists including Atjazz, Rocco, Abel, and St Germain, further cementing his reputation as a producer who understands both heritage and modern context.
Peacey’s debut album, Play It By Ear, released on Atjazz Record Company, marked a significant milestone. The album is an eclectic and personal body of work, reflecting years of lived experience, collaboration, and musical exploration. Rather than chasing trends, it captures moments, influences, and relationships formed across decades of DJ booths, studios, and dancefloors.

Influence has always come from people as much as records. Family foundations, creative partners, and peers including his late uncle, his grandfather, Scott Thompson, Scott Lorimer, Lee Whitehead, Marcus Shukla, Clyde, Craig Smith, and Martin Iveson have all played meaningful roles in shaping his musical path.

Known for his attention to detail, Peacey approaches music with care and intent. That focus is evident throughout his catalogue, balancing depth and accessibility while staying grounded in groove and feeling.
Looking ahead, 2026 shows no signs of slowing down. The year includes a collaboration on the forthcoming Atjazz Starbase 17 album, a new album remix project, a new EP for Craig Smith’s Beyond Tomorrow imprint, and further album work currently in development. With decades of experience behind him and fresh projects on the horizon, Peacey continues to evolve while staying firmly connected to the roots that shaped him.

His varied music backgrounds from Hip-Hop to dance has helped develop every idea and each track he writes, forwarded through his numerous record signings over the years which span across Europe through to Canada helping integrate his name into many record bags across the globe.

Gaining DJ support on his productions from the likes of  Danny Tenaglia, Marco Carola, Cristian Varela, Steve Lawler, Ivan Pica and Sam Divine eliminates looking back, this road is endless and he plans to take ever step.
