Detroit's own Booty Bass pioneer DJ Assault has had a large hand in bringing booty music, from the urban streets of Detroit to the suburban club circuit. The incorporation of electro beats with hardcore, sometimes pornographic lyrics, is what makes ghetto-house highly distinguishable from its other techno cousins.

His track "Ass -N- Titties" (Released in on his self run Jefferson Ave label ) featured in a scene in 22 Jump Street an American comedy film directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller. The film was released on June 13, 2014, by Columbia Pictures and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, received generally positive reviews, and earned over $308 million at the box office.

Another early DJ Assault track, ‘Tear Da Club Up’, was recently sampled by Darius Syrossian who used Dj Assault’s vocal to make it a house track. Darius made the track in the summer of 2013 especially for his BBC 1 essential mix. The track is being played from Ibiza to Japan, by many underground house deejays including Dirty Bird label boss and international deejay / producer Claude Von Stroke, who seems to make it his trademark to insert ghetto-bass elements into his house sets.

Alexis Paul (France) mène une aventure nomade et poétique autour d’un orgue de barbarie revisité. Ici, l’orgue des rues passe au chevet du monde, à l’épreuve de la création, se fait tribune et passeur de culture plongeant dans l’infini des formes et des possibles. En collectant les récits des cultures populaires, il les réinvestit pour en extraire, sous un regard contemporain, une dimension sublime. Alexis Paul est par ailleurs compositeur de musique de film, directeur artistique de plusieurs projets dont Voci Dal Mondo Reale, Orgue-paysage, le Salon Volant ou plus récemment Désornements (projets de recherches sonores autour de la brode- rie et du son).

Since 2014, Alexis Paul has been leading a nomadic and poetic adventure based around a revisited barrel organ. Here, the street organ comes to the bedside of the world, to the test of creation, becoming a tribune and a conduit for culture plunging into the in- finity of forms and possibilities. By collecting the stories of popular culture, he reinvents them to extract a sublime dimension from a contemporary perspective. Alexis Paul is also a film music com- poser and the artistic director of a number of projects, including Voci Dal Mondo Reale, Orgue-paysage, the Salon Volant and more recently Désornements (sound research projects based on embroidery and sound).
