Siren & Seer is the new vision of producer/multi-instrumentalist saQi and vocalist/songwriter Diamonde. Hailing from the hills of Northern California, the duo gives a fresh take on live electronic music by merging traditional idioms of Americana, folk, gypsy and blues with cutting edge dance music genres. S&S tastefully reimagine sounds of the past for a modern context and create a multi-dimensional world where refinement of a Victorian era can co-exist with roots of Appalachia and rawness of the urban underground. A major goal of the project is to bring a realness and vulnerability to the dance floor while still bringing sound that is hot and heavy. Siren and Seer seek to represent the voices silenced, the cries unheard, the spirits searching for a way home.

Nesstor creates noise with intent. Driving, deep, psychedelically infused, progressive, yet always organic noise. Techno and house music mean more to him than just a form of dance music; they serve as vehicles for emotional journeys, which is reflected in his storytelling sets. Since establishing his studio on the grounds of Bahnwärter Thiel in Munich, the focus has shifted more towards production. With releases on labels such as Bull In A China Shop, Dantze, Harabe, YION and others he brings a wealth of experience to the controls. As a long-time organizer of the Netzwerk-Events and the MiLA Festival in southern Germany, he also possesses a keen sense for the shifting dynamics on any dance floor.

Since the first release in 2018 Geplantes Nichtstun has put out nearly 50 tracks, now peaking with the second EP on Serafin Audio. Through Amselcom - a big hug to Andreas - the tunes finally reached a large crowd, while enabling me to work with all kinds of labels, DJs and musicians. Not to forget my second half Marcel Schneider, who is still doing the mixdown for all tracks due to unfathomable resonance in his primary studio, which is still the bedroom. 

Geplantes Nichtstun - German for „planned idleness“- was not conceived as an entity transmitting sound far and wide. It was established around 2006 for a then new electronic project. Most people call the artist just „Geplantes“, not knowing his face, which tends to engender fun moments. During the period of success, the avoidance-oriented artistname had a strong impact on the artist itself. Or maybe. He likes neither planes nor social media and keeps producing as a passionate, creative hobby. Whereas big or regular bookings were never part of the story, the very many encounters with wonderful people always were. The beauty of it is how the music has always been the link enabling these invaluable encounters.

Inspired by a lot of downtempo artists like Wide Awake, El Buho, Xique-Xique and others, the music is quite complexly melodic, mostly somewhat dark, and yet very embracing. Developing his style towards "Slowtrance" and in other directions. Geplantes Nichtstun remains open to collaboration in a broader artistic sense, trying to evolve 3D-sound, producing scores for short films, planning still to release a dozen tracks under a pseudonym. And showing up to clubs once in a while.
