En esta ocasión traemos la primera sesión de la plataforma, protagonizada por Alex BPM y Pharma. 

La unión de Alex y Adri procede de una asociación granaína a la que Alex pertenece y Adri comienza a asistir con frecuencia. Un espacio en el que, en determinados horarios predominan las músicas bien rebajadas, hipnóticas, y altamente progresivas. Desde patrones rítmicos constantes al infinito drumless. Cuando se conocieron no tardaron en compaginar en cabina, deleitando y sorprendiendo a los usuarios de esta asociación con su convergencia y diálogo, motivo de este podcast en formato B2B.

Pharma es natural de Almería, aunque lleva más de 10 años establecido en Granada. Su pasado está influenciado por los sonidos que escuchaba en cassettes de su familia. Un origen procedente del bebop o el rock psicodélico progresivo y enfocado en la música experimental y ambient más que al clubbing en sus inicios. Poco a poco se adentra en un sonido inmersivo, buscando diferentes estímulos que se muestran en la música electrónica, creando así una amalgama que se ha ido interconectando con el paso del tiempo, la cual actualmente toma forma tanto en sets de escucha como en clubbing, aportando un discurso musical identificativo.
Ha pasado por salas como @lautbarcelona, @cadavra.club, @sirocosala, @prismasevilla y en locales autogestionados como @espacio.perpendicular. 
Actualmente está centrado en @masa.series, sello que co-dirige y que está relacionado con los diferentes subgéneros de la música electrónica, editando en formato digital y físico desde 2020.

Alex BPM nacido en la localidad de Caniles (Granada), comenzó su andadura en el mundo de la mezclas a los 18 años, donde por hobby decide comprarse sus primeros reproductores y mezclador. En sus inicios comenzó probando con el Hard-Techno, pero el paso por varios festivales como Sonar, Dekmantel, Wakinglife, Mostra o Parallel hizo cambiar su proyección, bajando velocidades y cuestionando una perspectiva más contemplativa que de pista. 

Ha pasado por salas como @industrialcopera, @salatren o la antigua sala Wow entre otros clubes de la escena local.

For the next Far Blue concept, we have Kyiv based artist Vera Logdanidi who has put together her perception of Far Blue. Vera is a skilled producer, but also a beautiful storyteller with her sets. Someone who takes strong responsibility and initiative in the Ukranian underground electronic music scene with Rhythm Büro, which obviously faces big challenges during these difficult times. Traveling to international gigs isn't easy for her either:

"Since the nearest airport is 28 hours away from Kyiv, I have a lot of time for reflection and getting things done during my travels, often in trains or during stops. I recorded this mix in Budapest during a short layover. This mix isn’t about perfectionism, but rather about the mood, embracing the moment, and enjoying the journey. Let this music be the soundtrack to your days and the events they bring"

We feel honored an inspiring artist and person like Vera took the time to craft her interpretation of Far Blue for us, and we're excited to share it with you here.

Good friend and constant source of inspiration Alex Albrecht, joined me to celebrate my 300th episode of Passing Notes.

Few artists channel a consistent stream of creativity like Alex Albrecht. With over a decade of music-making under his belt, Alex has cultivated a distinct and frankly iconic musical identity. Effortlessly shapeshifting between experimental jazz, ambient, atmospheric house, and deep techno, Alex’s compositions are marked by an environmental undertone that imbues them with a uniquely “Alex Albrecht” earthly sense of place. Simultaneously anchoring and weightless, the common thread between it all is Alex’s ability to leave listeners safely ensconced in a swell of emotional resonance.

Improvisation and exploration are at the heart of Albrecht’s craft. His constantly evolving and captivating live performances have taken him to far corners of the globe, with appearances at iconic venues like Bassiani in Georgia, Monument in Norway, and Vent in Tokyo just to name a few. Each journey fuels his exploratory nature, offering new opportunities to immerse himself in the world around him. Field recordings serve as an auditory journal—postcards sent home to evoke memories of space and place that form the ever-important foundation of his creative process. These recordings provide a naturalistic canvas upon which Alex layers syncopated rhythmic subtleties and soaring, colorful synthetic brushstrokes.

With a rich discography amassing on celebrated labels such as A Strangely Isolated Place, Constellation Tatsu, Apollo, Scissor & Thread, and his own Analogue Attic Recordings—also celebrating its 10th anniversary this year—Albrecht’s work reflects a steadfast commitment to artistic authenticity and a depth of accrued knowledge now expressed through a craft so refined that oft feels effortless.

It was an honour to have Alex performing LIVE in the studio to celebrate this milestone together and share in his music that will continue to inspire us all.
