Sincopat proudly welcomes back the Brazilian maestro Renato Cohen who delivers a brilliant new EP for the label. Well known for his great stylistic elegance in the search for the beauty of the endless loop and perfect shapes. For this new adventure, he is accompanied by another great artist like Theus Mago, who adds the cherry on top of this timeless release.

We have "Say Yes" to start, which keeps us in tension all the way through. A modern funk piece of masterful simplicity. Theus Mago presents a superb remix that captures the essence of the original but takes it into his own personal style.

To continue, we have Piano Fix, an authentic sonorous voyage between styles with a strong Renato's characteristic flavour. A song with plenty of good vibes and great piano chords on the main drop that leads us to an exciting drop. 

And to close the circle, we have Darklight, which hypnotizes us with its fusion of rock and funk, an intense rollercoaster of sensations that will not leave you chilled.

PREMIERE: Renato Cohen - Say Yes (Theus Mago Remix) [SINCOPAT]

'Ellum Audio serves up a selection of dance floor weapons on a bumper new sampler handpicked by label head Maceo Plex.

Italian Laherte trained at Studio 76 Music and has since built on that early promise with tunes on top labels. He opens up with 'My Mind', a driving techno cut with slapping hits and filtered alien sounds bringing the menace. Ellum Audio artist Waltervelt then keeps it dark and cosmic with the skewed synth energy and prickly beats of his eerie 'Back Room'.

Argentina's David Bau has made big moves in the underground with this potent take on techno. Here he offers up 'Deconstruct', a tense and turbulent stomper with flashy synth designs and intense, grinding bass. French mainstay Madben follows up his excellent recent album with 'The Drone Dance', another standout track with strobe-lit synth lasers firing over the face of an ice-cold rhythm.
Part 2 opens with Ibiza-based producer and DJ John Monkman, the founder of Beesemyer Music and a familiar face on this label. He impresses again with 'Talking Heads', another sublime mix of futuristic synth designs carefully layered up over compelling, steel-edged drums. 8-Bit Culprit is the house and techno alter ego of Faraz Ehsan from India. His 'Refurbished Robots' is an electrifying peak time cut that takes you to the heart of a dance floor in outer space, with nebulous pads and squealing cosmic sounds all wrapping around the urgent grooves.

Next up is the collaborative Headwaters duo from Turkey. They draw on their mix of electronic sounds and instrumental skills on 'Eternal Madness', a slick tech track that locks you into crisp loops then mesmerises with the glowing synth harmonies which shine brightly up top. Danish DJ and producer Christian Nielsen is back on the label to round out this collection with 'Liberate,' a dark dance floor punisher with neck-snapping snares and ghoulish voices over a slithering and hypotonic beat. This has already been receiving plays from Maceo Plex at the likes of Timewarp, Brunch Madrid and the Ushuaia opening and is set to be a summer highlight.

RECURSION is a conceptual dub techno album trapped inside its own loop, a system that keeps rebooting, breaking, and rebuilding itself from the same decaying fragments.
Each track is constructed from the same source materials — identical samples, tones, and rhythms — yet each composition bends them differently, creating the illusion of change within the same recursive pattern.

Through hypnotic repetition, granular textures, and distorted echoes, the album questions the very idea of progress:

Is there evolution, or only reconfiguration?
Is this a new beginning, or the same cycle with a new mask?
When the loop calls, will you answer — or end the song?

Across its five phases — INITIATE, GLITCH MEMORY, PHANTOM STATE, THRESHOLD FAILURE, and REINITIATE — RECURSION traces the spiral descent of a collapsing system.
It’s a meditation on memory, error, and identity loss; an exploration of what happens when the loop becomes the only form of existence.

Minimal yet heavy, rhythmic yet dissolving, the sound design blurs the boundary between mechanical, analog and organic.
Each track feeds back into itself — decaying, evolving, corrupting — until all distinctions vanish in the noise.

Exclusive Whitesquare 'Pressured Mind'

The fourth release on Whitesquare's own label, 'Pressured Mind', is ready to blow the same. The 'Algernon' follow-up musically take a different direction than it predecessor, mostly in it's choice of sounds, because Whitesquare unveils his preference for Acid-bleeps once again, as he introduced us to a rhythmic/ acid-esque hybrid on his previous EP for Dj Tennis' Life And Death label. 'Pressure Mind', which was also part of Whitesquare's art:cast for Torture the Artist in October, seems to be based upon the artist's inevitable groovy bass lines, always containing a resonating funkiness in the sub-frequencies. But 'Pressured Mind' has more to offer than the artist's trademark features as the listener is pulled deeply into the sound-action, namely Whitesquare slowly fades in the Acid-beeps that add the title track's suggested seriousness – or pressures one's mind – while before the aforementioned is basically is hinted at with vocoder-edited vocals. 

Whitsquare's single 'Pressured Mind' was released on his Whitesquare Series label on November 1st, 2019.
