The ashes of an elderly crew member floated far away from the island-shaped spacecraft of NEXUS-32b, where its astronauts watched high above the trees as their beloved friend was spread across the astronomical cosmos. Hundreds of years ago, their planet, in desperation for survival against the overgrowth of their sun, launched a space program to locate and inhabit another world. Together, they constructed a giant carrier known as the Nexus. It has traveled lights years into the universe since its departure, searching for life, hope, and a place their species could call home. Little did they know, the answer to life has always existed right in front of them. As the ashes of the space explorer turned to ice, the soul entered the bardo, a realm in-between death and life. Far, far away, their friend would be transformed and reborn. This is the story of the journey, an exotic tale of strange adventure through the dimensions of existence.

Darkwood is the darkpsy/forest/experimental psy project birthed by Aidan. Growing up with parents having roots in the psy scene, I have always enjoyed psychedelic music from a young age. I really enjoy computers and electronics, as well as tinkering with different software and ideas. The merging of my creative side and my technical analytical side, as well as my absolute love for all things psychedelic led me to the idea of producing and mixing music.

This project is my journey into the exploration of light and dark psychedelia. Between organic and machine. My goal is to share a piece of myself as well as a part of the unknown in my music. Making the unknown known. Sequencing chaos into symphony...
