I wrote this song down by the river when I first arrived in Pisac those many years ago... I arrived with not a single penny, having followed the wild call of my heart to leave Mexico and go in search for healing the silent storms within me. As I slept under the trees and the open skies at the bottom of the sacred mountains with an opening of such trust in my being, a timeless memory stirred and began to awaken. In that moment of remembering the ancient gypsy nature of our spirits, wandering free from life to life this song was born.
To look back now and see the moment of this song was the beginning of a long and winding path through the dark and magic territories of my being, the tears and screams, the awe and wonder, the breaking, the dying and rebirthing, the songs and dances, the learning and remembering, the freeing and opening of our dusty wings, the epic landscape that must be crossed as we cover the ground we call 'Healing'...

Bachan combines her beautiful heart-opening voice with the first time collaboration of producers Mose & Binder. What started as a solo remix by Mose flowered into the magic it is with the special touch of Binder who joined the project and took a deep dive into the foundation set by Mose & Bachan. It is another beautiful example of how we can all support and inspire each other to manifest something special incorporating the essence of a few together as one.

➤ About the EP : 
"Yohana"  is a journey into the shadows of the jungle. The sound of these songs are heavily influenced from my first experience with Abuela Aya, where she came to me, in my mind and body, in the form of a serpent. She spoke to me, showed me her power, her essence, I felt her movement and heard her sound, and I connected deeply with her spirit.  I saw the shadow world that exists parallel to our reality everywhere, I learned that the energy of the shadows cannot be defined as good or bad but have their own unique power and influence on us.

➤ About the song :
"Yohana" is the musical embodiment of that experience, drawing fusing together organic and tribal elements and warping them to create a psychedelic jungle atmosphere. This approach to creating was used in the production of each song in this EP.
