Nashville Cast - A Life That's Good Cover

I had a dream last night 
that I lived an entire life in a crystal terrarium 
that was endlessly floating through space
with purple ground, and a little white house
and everything was filed with water
I was a mermaid, or a merman, or whatever,
and I had little pet dogs who were also plants but also fish
everything was weightless
I wasn’t listening to any music, 
I hadn’t fallen asleep to a bad sci fi movie
but there was an unmistakable music sound that just kept looping
the little sphere that kept me passed by 
some gorgeous exploding stars

the overwhelming sense of weightlessness was very heavy

I had a record player and everything that played from it just made this noise, like when you held a sea shell up to your ear as a kid
specifically the sound you hear when you are a child
and every time a record would start spinning, 
the musical sound would stop,
I looked at my pet dogfish as if to say 
“Oh no, someone closed the blinds” or
“Oh, we must be passing through the shade of another moon”
I had only four records, but the covers were warped, 
it looked like Sgt Peppers and Meddle by Pink Floyd
in one cover
if you could imagine such a thing

The grass and the one little tree in my terrarium was a soft purple
almost grey or a light orange

I just kept… floating around. I was watching the terrarium and myself float around in the little crystal sphere like I was directing and shooting an oscar winning film. Beautiful explosive colourful spacescapes of stars and rivers of light danced around me, it was truly beautiful.

It was then that I realised what was responsible for the swirling, impossible colours; I was cruising calmly towards the event horizon of a gigantic black hole, and I, like swimming in the rings of saturn, was on its very edge, where space and time was warping so stretchy that everything was just, again, impossibly vibrant, beautiful and from the third person, completely overwhelming. I think i tried to warn myself, trying to tap on the crystal shell, but I was made of invisible ink, and I didn’t seem to mind. Then everything felt warm, and I was right next to myself, and I noticed my eyes were closed. They had been closed the whole time, the dogfish too, but everything was peaceful. I thought “I know what will wake me up, playing these impossible records! These Beatles Floyd records, or the Clash Elvis record, or the one that was just incredibly red and had about 50 records in a basically flat sleeve. I put on a record that is basically a square, and it rocks back and forth and the needle can’t grab the vinyl and I remember that were under water, and weightless. So, I decide to hold the record with my hand and the needle with my other, and gentle place them together… And thats when the noise happened. It was so loud, and I remember having the thought that “If I wasn’t surrounded by water, I would wake up deaf” then I realised I was dreaming, and then I was ripped from the dream like I was made from wet cement. I opened my eyes and it was so quiet for a few precious seconds, then I heard a car drive past and disappear into the morning.
