Daniel Crabtree is an emerging bluegrass gospel singer and songwriter. His love of music was sparked at a young age when he first picked up his father's guitar. Since then he has kept his passion for music alive through his bluegrass gospel group, The Lights Chapel Boys. Songwriting came later in life, but when it did, it arrived in full force. Before he knew it, an entire self-written album had emerged, the culmination of which was The Gospel Road. Follow-up projects include a second gospel record, In the Shadow of His Wings, and a secular bluegrass album titled The Storyteller in Me. Bell Buckle Media and Records, is a small independent music company, which was founded 19 years ago in the historic town of Bell Buckle, TN by Valerie Smith and J. Gregory Heinike (owner of the famous Bell Buckle Cafe). They began the label so they could record artists who would frequently perform at the cafe and they called the series, “Live at the Bel Buckle Cafe.”

As the demand grew for record labels to produce independent artists,  Bell Buckle Records soon joined the ranks of other popular independent labels. Its roster grew every year and it continued to release recordings by various artists in the folk and roots markets. We are proud of our label and we look forward to sharing fresh new voices to our listeners for the next 20 years!

Songwriting duo Robert Sadler and Ritchie Ritchison are cousins and musical collaborators. Robert is from the world of Rock and Roll and Ritchie is from the back roads of the country. When they write together it produces a unique sound and style that is familiar and yet fresh. Sometimes it is graced with a touch of humor.
