This week on Valhalla we have the young Scottish selecta, Franck. We first heard about Franck with this previous alias VIGILE, his debut EP with Childsplay bagged DJ mags electro release of the month and had various premieres with Mixmag. He then followed that with more fantastic releases like “Knock” “Get Busy” & “Break The Law”. Following his alias change, he has went on to release a series of self released EPs and fortunately for us, has lots more heavy hitting bangers to come! He has also demonstrated his ability to curate fresh new techno as the label head of Carouse.

RAVE IN THE WOODS 005 - RUDYÅRD

Dublin favourite Jordan Kinlan aka DART returns to our Four Four premiere's with his latest track 'Tree Frog', which featured on Hammers label Remmah.

DART's six track EP on the Irish imprint showcases club ready tracks cloaked in lighter melodic tones and textures. Tree Frog is a rolling euphoric club banger that features an epic breakdown that perfectly descends back into a rolling groove, making this a huge club tool.

The six track EP has been picking up some steam ahead of its release on the 17th of September. Having received support from label head Hammer, who played it to a huge crowd at the 02 Academy Brixton before fellow Irish duo Bicep. We expect this release to be a big one within the clubs reopening and look forward to hearing it on a big sound system very soon.

For the landmark 150th Local Selection Mix we present one of our favourite up and coming selectors, Yours Truly. The Berlin based DJ has provided an hour of deep selections ranging from breaks, electro, house and techno, mixed with great poise and shrewdness.

Truly Moore, better known as, Yours Truly has been making a big impact within the music scene as of late. Guest mixes on Rinse, Project Radio and DDR have turning heads of some of the countries biggest promoters and DJs, rapidly throwing the Wicklow native into the deep end of high profile gigs in within the club and festival slots.

Yours Truly’s style is wide-ranging and eclectic while remaining comprehensive to the sounds of the deep. Known for playing quite bass heavy sounds of jungle, dubstep and breaks, the young selector finds no qualms about slipping in techno or house to great affect.

For the 150th Local Selection Mix, Truly has pulled out all stocks and thrown herself into the hour trip. Pulling inspirations from past and present influences, to piece together a well crafted journey.

Truly runs through broken and euphoric sounds in the early stages of the mix before launching into deep and groovy four to floor sounds. Rolling basses and hypnotic synth lines set the scene for a subterranean excursion. Truly drifts the energy up and down, taking the listener through a hot-blooded yet precarious experience. Truly show’s the mark of an accomplished DJ by keeping the energy on the edge of a knife but keeps composure through out.

Suspect Raver returns to Filth Inc. with his second hard hitting EP - Sydney, named after the roof raising, synth driven anthem which pays homage to two of the local nightclubs.

He then takes on the trance realm with Tranceporter, with the bassline's changes in frequency and resonance leading the listener on a laser light compatible journey.

Lie Low sees a change in rhythm, with the breakbeat tunes galactic synths molding with the unmistakable Opus III sample to deliver a delightful foil to the four on the floor rhythm of its fellow tracks.

Finally, Oxford St closes the album with another trance track, this one evoking the pleasures many generations of Sydney clubbers have felt along the playground that is known as Oxford St.
